Aww Shad you are such a creative hoot. I don't know what's funnier - your prop or the fact that you found the things to make it where you're at right now. I'll just BET you got their attention. You are doing what you were meant to be good at. Loved the guy who wanted a ride on the broom if he behaved

As for the fags and booze, I guess that's why they call them crutches. No one even drowned their sorrows in a big bowl of brocolli. I guess as a society we tend to promote that and Xanax and such as escapism things. Much harder to give yourself a talk and get on with things. Unless you have a butt kickin'

friend who makes you see the error of your ways

I'm glad Shad is back. How are you feeling today with the cold? Did you make a cuppa tea for you? A bit of honey and lemon to soothe things too.
Annie - I'm glad the party turned out so well and Sissy was well endowed. She looks so cute - why can't we look that good with belly overhang?

Don't be stressing over insurance school - it will make you forget more. Just take good notes and remember that there's alot of people feeling anxious too. I'm sure you will do very well as you work extra hard at anything you tackle.
Ceejay - love your new avatar - it makes me smile

each time I look at it. Is the cotton bothering you yet?
Good heavens woman - no smoking and drinking for you Mel - that would be the end of you for sure.

We are too old to be able to survive hangovers any more. Heck we can't even handle the caffiene that once sobered us up

Rain, rain go away. Send some down here - we are in for a cool but dry spell and I don't feel like yanking out the hose, particularly since I have to roll it back up neatly each and every time.
Laura - how nice to get a doggy fix. I'm sure you are missing your puppy. He will be glad to see you too. How much left on the vacation? Is the weather holding up for you?
Michelle - you made your point very well with my tongue in cheek suggestion for October's thread. Forgot how that could be so far reaching - scratch that!!! We have to work cussin' into the title since that gets Mel all giggly in the mornings

How great to hear you could do almost a full Zumba session without aids.

I think the queen is back in court again, might take her a while to get to the throne but she's coming back to claim her

I'm so glad you are getting better - I know how important it is to you.
I have to admit I have short timers disease. 23 more working days and I wish I was leaving on Friday. You know how you feel when you have spent all day on your feet and then you sit down at 10pm and you just can't will yourself to get up again? That's how I feel. I want to pack up the car and be saying my last goodbyes. My cousin said they are getting some color up that way. DH will get to see it but I will have to wait until next fall. We will be up in time to catch the Leonid meteor shower. I hope

it will be clear skies as we will have an awesome dark view. Except for the sweeping kleig light at the airport down the road. But mostly dark.

The For Sale sign is still not on the lawn. Realtor was supposed to pick up the keys tonight for the lock box but never showed up. I hope we didn't pick the wrong person for the job - she is good and busy but I hope not too busy to work for us. After all, we are paying for services... but if you dare say anything you are considered the rude yankee.
I am super tired, yawning so big my eyes are tearing so I think I will trudge off to bed. Mr. Feral has not come by yet and if he doesn't show up in 10 minutes he will have to spend the night hungry. It breaks my heart to think that for a good number of nights he will show up on our porch in cold weather with those sad, sad eyes just patiently waiting on the step for me to come out and feed him and we will be a thousand miles away

DH said he will get by but he is older and more raggity now than when we first met. Anyway I am going to close up and go to sleep. Good night all. Sweet dreams.
