Oohhh, I love a good before and after pic session! Sometimes when I feel like I'm getting no where I head on over to the Goal! threads and inspire myself. Some amazing results there! Going on my 3 mile run today, and have a gym induction this evening to start cross training for reals (found myself slacking with home exercise!).

WOW, I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOO impressed and inspired with all these races . . . Ok, a bit intimidated too . . . (must start looking for a "Plain Jane" 5K that I can run)

Peanut: Sooooooooo excited to see your Before & After pics

Sarati: WTG on keeping track of that food . . . it REALLY makes a difference

Envelope: You make me laugh . . . irritated with hubby= extreme coupon shopping/pantry stocking

Reso: Oh yea, Tigger's the Man . . . I too love Tiggers, because TIGGERS B-O-U-N-C-E

Riestrella: Good luck and have FUN with gym induction

jose: Yea, your jaw. I found when I had started running I would clench my jaw and hold my upper body so tight that I felt like I had an upper body workout by the time I finished. I would have to consciously try to relax my shoulders (actually whole upper body) and jaw . . . made a world of difference if I could actually do it (At first, I didn't even know I was doing it)

Rated: Listen to Peanut on the whole calore thing . . . she has straightened more than a few people out and got the scale moving again for them

SARGE: OK, been thinking about punishment; and DEFINITELY would prefer ZUCCHINI BEATING, BUT NOT THE LEGS, ANYWHERE BUT THE LEGS

OK, yesterday I walked 3+ miles, crunches, upper body weights and lots of stretching. Today's plan: biking, crunches, Yoga video and lots of stretching . . . (this slowing down sucks) I'm heading to the garden in a few . . . NEED TO CHECK ON THE ZUCCHINI. I still only have ONE pumpkin growing, so maybe I can do some Hand Pollinating

Everyone have a PANTS ON THE GROUND DAY!!!

Good Morning Platoon.

Slow start for me this morning, so I'll have to do my exercising after work.
I have my NROL workout, then some hill repeats to speed through.

I have a banana ready to snack on and plenty of water bottles waiting for me at work.

Way to Go BL Red Team!! You show them how Sarge Does!

Josey-I agree with the other, you are probably clenching something. You are aiming for a relaxed running form. Shoulders relaxed and low, hands loose, straight back. I often tell myself to push back my shoulders when running and I shake out my arms or stretch them above my head randomly. When tend to start clenching jaws, hands, shoulders when we are trying to push ourselves through a run.

Good Articles about running form: http://www.runnersworld.com/article/...8210-0,00.html

Okay, I have to get. Have a great healthy, sweat filled day!

Morning Troops!

The answers to Sarge's 3 question quest:

1) Name at least 2 of the 10 new pants sizes we suggested prior to our making "Pants on the Ground" the official platoon theme song.
(answers: dayuum i'm hot, WOW!!, fit & healthy, a little pudgy, gettin' chunky, cute & chunky, chunky munky, OMG I'm fat, OMG THUD!!

2) Reso's favorite Disney character?
answer: Tigger

3) When did we officially start our trek across America?
answer: 5/15

Also, based on the platoon losing so much weight I had a request for a post of our favorite song, Pants on the Ground:

As a group we did a great job last week! WOOOOOOhooooooooo!

Just finished my 6. Now I need to get ready to tutor a 5th grader in reading.

I love extreme couponing. It helps me keep our food budget low, and I often get lots of items for the local food pantry, plus I get the thrill of a great bargain. :0)I plan on stopping at the food pantry and donating 24 boxes of fiber one cereal, 30 boxes of life cereal, and 16 boxes of snack wells cereal bars.

I am keeping 14 boxes of life cereal, 12 boxes of mini wheats, 3 light soy milks, 1 coconut milk, 4 bananas, 2 tictacs, 12 sauve childrens shampoo and conditioners. I spent $102 and I am getting over 154.50 in free fuel.

Plus I still have some coupons for more life and snackwells cereal bars.
