We were almost to Sioux Falls when Jason called and said the game was postponed because of flooding in the park entrance! The game will be Friday night but Bob is playing in a golf tournament so we won't be able to go. We turned around and came home. I wanted to see the movie Larry Crowne so that's what we did instead. We usually park in a bank lot close to the theater and when we got there, there was yellow tape all around the bank building! Several cops, and some other people in street clothes, were standing in the driveway. We know the chief and one of the cops is a customer of Bob's, so we went ahead and parked. As we walked by, the two we know said, "hi Bob." We didn't ask any questions! The movie was "ok" -- it kind of dragged at the beginning until Julia showed up.

Maggie -- The headlines are just plain goofy to think what some people might do and/or are so ! I wonder if the goldfish story is true? Your dinner menu sounded so good!

Gail -- on going back to WW today AND for taking such a long walk! I gained a 1/2 pound but am not surprised since I have been eating my share of sweet corn with butter and salt. I fully intend to enjoy it because our season is so short here.

I'm off to catch the news and see if anything is said about the bank. See you tomorrow!

Good morning to you all. It is so very sticky outside this morning. The humidity is again over 90% and isn't coming down, that's for sure. Jack left for work about half an hour ago. He had to get gas, but since the rental only came with half a tank, that's all we have to put back in it and our car hopefully will be ready tomorrow, so Jack said he was only going to put 3/4 of a tank in. I can see him getting in and out of the car turning on the car to see how full it is this morning.

Marty is back home safe and sound as are the kids. I talked to Kelly briefly last night as they were at the Memphis airport I think probably waiting for their bags and such. I think Fortune probably likes having his "castle" back. He gets along great with Marty, but he doesn't have to share. Marty lives with a cat so he has to share attention all the time.

I did some pull ups on their diving board yesterday and boy that left shoulder is telling me it didn't like it at all. It is really sore this morning. Jack put on Ben Gay and I will keep heat on it today as well and I am sure it will be back to normal in a couple days. I am going to work on a treadmill routine and such so I can get some regular exercise. It will have to be pretty early because I tend to put things off if I don't do them first thing in the morning.

Jean: I wondered whether that movie was any good or not. The critics panned it as they say. There are a couple coming out that look pretty funny. I saw some new trailers at the theater and on tv yesterday. I would like to see the new Smurf movie and Cars 2 actually, but Jack said he will buy it when it comes out on video because he is not going to a kids movie without any kids and Thomas is kind of old for those movies. I have gained some weight this week, but I would bet it is water again. My feet have been swollen more than they had been. I don't sweat it. I know that for me it is a long process. Jack is now down to 2 more lbs and only has 7 to reach his goal. His cardiologist is going to flip when he sees him.

Gail: I am always telling Jack that if women were in charge of stuff it would go better. For example all the stupid rules and regulations in sports. They make everything so complicated and stupid. Of course, women are in the government and that noodlehead Pelosi is one of the worst, but personally it is all about who has bigger muscles so to speak. It is ridiculous and I am a republican, but I really do believe though it will hurt a lot for awhile, we have to make big time cuts if we want to make any headway with this debt thing. Like you said, regular folks know that if they make or have so much money and they continue to take out credit cards, bank loans, etc just because they can, sooner or later they are going to owe more than they can pay back and the country is no different.

I hear the washer is done so going to go put clothes in the dryer and start the second load. These new towels I bought a year ago are much bigger so it doesn't take a whole lot to fill up my washer even thought my washer and dryer are bigger capacity. Have a good Thursday all. My vaca clothes should be here today along with a pair of white sandals I bought for vacation. I hope everything fits and isn't too big. Faye

Good Morning, Flowers! It's a cloudy humid day in my corner of the world. We are heading for another few days of mid 90s, but today is supposed to be 85. We'll see. The news said there had been a bank robbery, and the robber left in a white pickup. Bob's pickup is white so no wonder the cops looked at us funny.

"Gma" -- I'm glad your family is back home safe and sound, and glad you enjoyed your swim yesterday. I hope the shoulder soreness is better. There was a movie preview last night that looked like a good one, but neither one of us caught the name. All the whos' who flipped through too fast. The Smurf movie looks cute! I'd go to kids' movies with you! I ordered a pair of white sandals from Zappos and they were here in 2 days. I was so surprised! Their shipping and return is free so I do like to order from them.

I need to figure out what I'm wearing to lunch today -- meeting my college roommate and her dh. He's a retired engineer so hope he and Bob can find something in common. We have a meeting at church tonight which both of us will go to. It's usually a 2 hour one, but I'm hoping there isn't much on the agenda tonight.

Hope you all have a terrific Thursday and enjoy!

Jean -- from Iowa!
