Default Starting Again...

I am starting my plan again today. I haven't stayed on plan in months and have gained back all of the weight I lost back in the fall. I keep thinking I can use moderation with sugar and then I go off on a sugar binge and lose all control. So today I'm starting again NO SUGAR and more carb control and more posting on 3FC. It's such a great motivator for weight loss coming here and reading. I'm just rambling but I wanted to actually write it down and put it out there for accountability. I just don't want to give up. But I feel like I am always going to be this way. It really is so discouraging. But I know that if I give myself a few days sugar free I'll have a change in the way I feel mentally and physically. Sorry this isn't a well formed post just needed to let some thoughts flow. Thanks for listening!

Awesome job picking back up- not an easy thing to do! I have a sugar issue too- I just love it. Oddly, cutting out a lot of sugar and artificial sweetener really helped my taste buds recalibrate. Real food tastes so much sweeter when I'm not constantly flooding myself with overly sweet things. I've been able to add back in other natural sweeteners like agave nectar, stevia, honey occasionally and it works so much better for me. So I think my point is that there is hope ! You won't always be this way- if it matters enough to you, you'll do what it takes to make the change! It's not going to be easy, but it's going to be worth it. Here's to a great first day!

Just want to share a recipe for roasted vegetables that not only fills me up -but helps with the "sweet tooth" issue (yeah - really!!). I coat a big bunch of brussel sprouts (you can use broccoli too) into a zip lock bag and add a bit of walnut flavored oil, salt and pepper and the key ingredient - BALSAMIC VINEGAR and a touch of honey. Then roast at a high temp - around 435 for app. 40 minutes -more if you prefer softer sprouts. Great and filling as a side dish or snack -chewy,sweet and full of fiber -so satisfying!!

I hope you start feeling better getting off the "sugar train" - Good luck -L.
