Default Non scale victories - let's celebrate

I recently had two...

1) Leaned down to release the gas cap. For the last five years I've had to open my seat belt to do that. It took a few minutes to realize that I had reached it easily wearing my seat belt!

2) Four or five years ago I bought a pair of brushed corduroy jeans, absolutely beautiful and they ALMOST fit. Saturday night I cut the tags off and wore them...they fit beautifully! (For the last five years I couldn't get them past my ankles because I had gained weight almost as soon as I bought them.

Lower numbers on the scale are great...but hey, this is what it is all about!

What are your nsvs?

I've gone from a DDD bra to a D.

I'm thrilled!

It's taken over 2 years but I'm pretty much in all of my bigger pre-pregnancy pants! I still have a few pairs that I'm going to have to lose another 10-20lbs to get into because my stomach has just changed its shape so much but it's definitely a great start!

Oh, and DH has really been noticing my weight loss and keeps giving me compliments! He's also been getting more serious about his weight loss and I'm just so proud of him because of it.

I can run 75% of the way to the store it is my goal to run to without stopping. Before, I couldn't run more than a minute without being too out of breath and in pain to continue

I went on a date with my husband Saturday night. We were sitting at the table and he was eyeing me. He asked, " How much weight have you lost?" I reminded him that I committed myself to staying off the scale for the month of March so I don't know yet. He said, "Well whatever you're doing is working, you look really hot right now." Definitely a NSV! =)

Also, I've biked over 300 miles this month so far.

Hmmm...I've got a few:

1. Baked carrot cake w/cream cheese frosting from scratch yesterday for friend and didn't even have one slice!

2. Baked chocolate brownies for my daughter's art class today and didn't even taste the batter or lick the bowl!

3. Yesterday I tried on my size 6 Lerners New York polyester pants I bought about 15 yrs ago...AND IT FIT!!!

Ive noticed lately:

I can chase my kids around and not be out of breath
I can get off the floor without using a table, wall, etc. to help me get up

yesterday I was given some size 22 skirts. I started out in a 26--tight 24. So I slid one on not expecting to be able to even close it but it zipped right up!

Its been years since I even put on a size 22. Its a feeling I could definately get addicted to! hopefully I fit into some 20's soon!

Last June I was in a size 26. This month, I'm in a 16. I can finally shop in the "regular" size section instead of plus sizes, for the first time in 12/13 years. I don't love my body yet, but I'm a lot more comfortable with it than I have been in years. And I can finally go shopping with my girlfriends... none of them need to shop at Lane Bryant or Avenue, so it's been nice to actually go shopping with friends again!

I can easily fit in booths at restaurants now. My belly doesn't even come close to hitting my steering wheel anymore. I can bend down to tie my shoes. I can walk as fast as (and often faster) than my kids.

I bought some pants on Saturday since mine are getting too big. They are size 12!!! Down from 16!
I searched for some older but never worn jeans in the closet and they fit! And a top that is longer but was too tight around my hips but now I can wear it! Yay!
(If winter ever ends up here, that is.)
