"If I were a rich man" I'd fly down to join you all. I love that show. Enjoy!

So strange this morning to come downstairs to just two dogs. The crazy thing is that wee Jazz has learned to howl from his buddy Casey. He usually whimpers when he hears me upstairs but today it was a howl.

There's a big ecumenical Church service in the next town this morning instead of a service at our wee church. I am going to skip it in favour of a visit with a 94 year old New York lady who has been here at her summer place for a week now and is probably wondering where the heck I am. Her family have been spending summers here for over 100 years and Charlotte remembers every minute of her time here. She's an interesting lady - I want to be her when I grow up.

At noon today I have to be at a volunteer appreciation luncheon for the folks who helped out on the Mill's big weekend. Then I'll spend the afternoon doing a financial report for tomorrow afternoon's Board meeting.

Tonight I'll sleep with the fan on full blast as the Fair midway will be arriving during the night. They drive the big rigs down my street right under the bedroom window! The "carnies" will be clink-clanking away setting up the rides by noon tomorrow so there goes my quiet village for a week.

Right now I'm going to have another coffee on my front porch and enjoy the peace and quiet. What's happening with you?

Good morning It's a lovely and cool morning.

Cottage - Hey the sale thing sounds good to me too Hope you find some good bargains. I love Fiddler. What a nice family outing

Ruth - I'm not a big fair fan but I've heard so much about yours I'd love to see it. Enjoy your last day of quiet.

Yesterday I picked lots of blueberries and ran the first dehydrator batch of zucchini. Today I'll continue dealing with those blueberries and run more zucchini. It's supposed to be a little cooler so hopefully I can get outside for a bike ride. Yesterday I just cranked the fan and used the stationary bike, very boring.

Hope excitement in your world is a little more exciting

Good morning all

Jenn - I wondered how you were doing. Love the picture.

I am so glad to be home from the lake. Sounds pathetic, but there is just too much family crap to deal with there. And food, OMG the food. It is interesting to me now to think about how much that location is tied to food treats for my whole family. Anyhow, playing catch up at home now and looking forward to getting back to my routine. Sort of pathetic, but that's the way it is.

Have a great day all.

Awful weather here today. It's storming like a sonofagun.
The forcast is "Scattered showers and thunderstorms in the morning...then numerous showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. "
Great. I need to go to the grocery store desperately. Need some dark greens!! I got a giant container of spinach the other day at Whole Foods and then discovered the bottom of it contained "soggy" spinach. I wouldn't worry about it if I didn't have to go to a workshop for school all week long and need to bring my lunch.

Good morning,

Its such a wonderful morning here, wish it would stay nice and cool like that all day. Last night was great, we sat on the deck until 12:30a.m. drinking wine and listening to a blues program. The amazing thing was that there were no bugs biting.
Today will be on plan.
Ruth - the only thing I don't like about the country fairs are the carnivals.
Cottage - enjoy your day and going to an opening of a new store is good. I love Fiddler on the Roof.
Cyndi - have a nice day with the blueberries and zucchini its better than being at work.
Karen - nice to be back to a routine
Femme - enjoy your Sunday before the workshop week.
take care
Sophie

I had stew for breakfast, salmon w/eggs for lunch and I'm having yogurt and stew for dinner! I went to Church for the first time in 6mths and I didn't catch on fire when I got inside, lol! Listening to religious music throughout the day, have a nice one y'all!

Hey ladies, today was cleaning day, and it feels good to have it done. I did get to the pool this afternoon, so not a total work day. And made a giant batch of marinated veggies, and two of refrigerator pickles, so my veggies are covered for the week.

Not sure what the week will hold work-wise, but maybe a couple of interviews - I really need to get out and find some new interview clothes. What I have either doesn't fit anymore or is old and tired. I've only needed enough to support occasional meetings and trips.

Think I'll go pop in another episode of True Blood, then bed. Sad that the weekend is winding down

^Schmoodle, I'm watching True Blood as well. I love it! I first started watching Season 1 a couple of weeks ago, and I'm all caught up now on the current episodes of Season 3. Season 1 starts off a bit slow I suppose, and at first I wasn't sure about it, but then it gets awesome & I absolutely loved it. And of course I won't give away any spoilers, but Season 2 gets EVEN better! Hope you enjoy.

Hope you guys all had a wonderful weekend! It was storming here in my neck of the woods but today was nice. Gonna scurry over to the recipe section and find some good stuff for this upcoming week.

I was not doing well mentally or physically for a long while. I think I may have found what I need to do eating wise, but am trying it out.

I will pop in more often, promise! You can always PM me for my facebook - as Cyn and a few can attest, I am around posting a LOT.
