Lydia - do you have pics of your house? Feel free to PM them as I'm dying to see what it looks like

I'm somewhat sore today and no CF for me today. I got school related work to do and what not. I'm going to go tomorrow though.

Nelie, good on you for sticking it out and finishing...that's a lot of work, 30 minutes, and I think it takes more grit than blazing through it. I'm seriously considering a rest day today. I'll go in, but if it's not a recovery/focus day, I'll take a pass and rest up for Friday/Saturday...I'm feeling whupped this week.

Mel, congrats on the rx'd cleans! I think I'm close, too, but since I jacked up my back a little going too heavy with snatches a couple weeks ago, I've been playing it safe. Rx'd cleans are on my 2010 goals wishlist, though, so I'm hoping to be able to do them before long.

Lydia, your move sounds scary and exciting. It must feel good to finally be moving forward!

Gotta run. The good news is, the scale is moving downward, food is staying clean, I feel good except a bit tired from the workouts this week. My back feels good this morning, normal, so I'm thinking I just had a bad knot in some muscle from doing the yoke/stones wod on Monday. Phew!

Oh I'm tempted to go to CF today, they are doing max weight deadlifts, back squats and shoulder presses. I really need to study though... hmmm. And I didn't bring my workout clothes so I'd have to go home and then go.

OK, I need a REST! My shoulders feel like they are held together with old chewing gum. Or velcro that is full of fuzz I wanted to go to Xfit today because we are working on pistol squats, but I had to sub for the ring dips and pull ups. Who knew I'd look forward to box jumps I actually managed to do the pistol squats, much better on my right leg than my left, but I did them!

Nelie- Hope you get a workout in soon!

Cheryl- remember, food is about 80% or more of the picture. Read nelie's signature.

Ugh- my shoulder/bicep insertion hurts every time I move. Rest day tomorrow

Morning, ladies.

Well, I got a refreshing 90 minutes of sleep overnight. Was hoping for 5, but one of the dogs had to go out (old dog), so woke me for that, and I just could not get back to sleep. I'm caffeined up, though, and feeling okay so far. Hopefully I can catch a nap after the gym if I start dragging.

I went into the gym yesterday, and to my relief, it was a mile run. I would have preferred to do a longer run than that at an easier pace, but it was close enough to a "rest day" for me, so I did it. Afterward we fooled around with some stupid human tricks out of the old (1940's?) gymnastics and tumbling book. I couldn't quite do them, but I had fun trying and falling repeatedly. My back felt good all day...woot!

I'm feeling recovered and ready for a good workout today. Wrote up my warm-up/skills practice this morning, since I had time on my hands. Time now for me to hop in the shower. I'm going in early to watch my sister's On Ramp class.

I ended up staying late for work last night so no CF yesterday. Today I'm going though but its a killer workout, Roy.

Five rounds of
15 deadlifts
20 box jumps
25 pullups

The other day, I did 50 deadlifts at 133 lbs but don't think I can do 75 at 133 lbs. My pulldowns were also increased to a red and purple band which I'm not sure if I can do 125 of those. So today will be killer

So how did it go, nelie?

I'm annoyed because "sleeping in" is now 6 am I'm so used to getting up at 5, that I can't sleep longer.

Today is an easy metcon (ha! how many times have I thought that and Been OH SO WRONG!) so I'm thinking of doing a workout at home with dh. He is doing leg day. We bought a squat rack last weekend so he could safely do squats. Guess I should use it too! I can't tempt him to Crossfit, partly because of the timing, partly because of his fear that his surgically repaired thumb (dumb ice hockey accident) will fail. Not an unrealistic fear, and having him in a cast again wouldn't be pleasant for either of us!

Roy was tough but modified for me wasn't too bad, finished in 36 minutes.

Did 133 lb deadlifts. The last round was quite challenging and I failed a couple of the deadlifts and had to really talk myself into them. My hands were also killing me.

For my pulldowns, halfway through the workout, I ditched the purple band and did pulldowns with just the red. I then did step ups. Think it is a 20 inch box. I know jump ups are difficult and step ups are much easier but during the first round, I discovered that my legs didn't want to do step ups after deadlifts.

Today is no CF day. We are doing a hike or kayaking or something. Not sure what the workout is though because they don't post Saturday.

Nelie sounds like a great CF workout. Great job with the deadlifts.
Mel: how's the shoulder today? Arms that feel like they are attached with velcro is a bad sign.

We are all packed up and the house is spotless. I heard a few of my old ghosts rattling around the rooms tucking boys in for the night and Dh and I agreed we'd buy the house all over again.

Just finished up my own workout. Last one for a while till I get settled. Fortunately my knee is getting a little better too. Today I could actually sit back on my heels in childs pose today. It's been like six weeks since I could do THAT! Definite progress today

My friends are planning a nice potluck this afternoon. I've decided to scrap better judgement and bring wine, chocolate and cheese.

Have a great weekend everyone
