I have stupidly thick, coarse, wavy, and now, 100% gray, wiry hair. Length just isn't an option - it quickly becomes a bush. The shorter I go, the better I like it. Only problem is that I have to offset it with more makeup and better earrings, I just got another 2" lopped off the cut I have in my avatar last Saturday.
Annie, your new do is cute! Did you color it as well? The color looks deeper, shinier and more flattering. Becky, I hear you on the coarse, thick hair. I always joke that my hair doesn't grow longer--it just grows bigger. Eventually I get the dreaded triangle head.
Losermom-Thanks! No, I didn't color it, though I really do need to cover my gray. I think it is just the difference in lighting, the flash, etc. I have also (VERY RELUCTANTLY) started using a flat iron. I think it helps it look shinier.
