So I have a ton of frozen blueberries. I was thinking I would make somehting like a crisp with them. I was thinking of taking smart balance and "crumbling" with oatmeal, splenda, and cinnamon. Then mixing with blueberries and baking.
Do you think this would work? I know I have made this in the past with brown sugar.
Yeah, or I use rolled oats (half and half) . Sometimes I use half rolled oats and half fibre one cereal, works well with some splenda and brown sugar splenda blend.
I make a granola/crisp with egg whites -- mix egg whites with splenda and spices of your choice, mix with oats and nuts of your choice (till damp) and then spread on cookie sheet.
Tammie, your idea would work just fine. I like to use Fiber One, Smart Balance, and splenda, but lately I've been using agave instead of the splenda. It actually turns out better and gives a better crunch to the crisp.
Mmmm, blueberry crisp. Let us know how it turned out!
