Don't let the bounce backs get go you. If you are doing what you know you should do, then it will fall into place. Time and patience are probably two of the biggest assets you can have. Daily weighing is not going to be always down, but watching the trend is what's important!
Thank you, nickilaughs! You're not doing too bad yourself!

Me too! But only if I haven't eaten before that (if I go early in the morning between getting up and weighing and before breakfast).

4/26: 196.0 -- Not sweating it much, I know I've been splurging a bit. Not binging, just getting a taste here and there of some yummy stuff. For some reason I still don't comprehend, I rock the diet Monday - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are a struggle, Saturday and Sunday are a battle.

I'm picking along....had a bit of a set-back yesterday but only gained .4 so hopefully I can get my act together. I am aiming to lose 11 lbs by the end of June when I go away so I'll be 40 lbs lighter.
Paulitens, I feel your pattern! I am so uber motivated today, but that motivation wavers each and every week!
However, if each and every week I lose overall I will take that!
With 3 days left I'm not going to make my super optimistic goal but I am going to stick at it and see what the numbers give me!
In my case it is mostly because I have my husband and kids, it's the weekend, they want to treat themselves to something yummy... and so it goes. I ate two chocolate chip cookies yesterday (one raw I love chocolate chip cookie dough!), didn't have my salad for lunch, got super busy and ate sugar free cookies in the PM, by dinner I wasn't hungry and didn't eat my salad with chicken... it was a mess. But the scale was good to me this morning despite of it.
Stick with it! Think of this "eating healthy" thing as the only way to live there is; there will be ups and downs, mood swings, days when, like me, you will mess up... but in general, that's how life is too. A lot of people say they "fall off the (diet) wagon"... what wagon? This is a lifestyle! If you're on a wagon, you're going somewhere, and once you get there you stop moving forward. We can't afford to stop moving forward even if we reach our goal. We have to be constantly moving forward to a better life and a healthier lifestyle. This isn't a wagon we can fall off of. This is life.
Great way to look at it Paulitens. At the moment I'm struggling with my scale number, woke up Sunday full of cold, bunged up and congested. Work is super stressful at the moment, I'm stressed, sick, TOM and I'm not losing weight. BUT, that's okay, I'll keep making good choices and then when the time is right the weight will go.
4 days off work now for national holidays to focus on getting well and eating well.
This is a life thing, even if it's slow we will get there.....! If that means treats with your family at the weekend Paulitens, so what? That's what you're going to want to do forever, so make it work in the plan and you'll stick at it, right?
Exactly. Yesterday I had a big fancy meal. Woodford reserve whiskey souffle with salted caramel sauce...Like I need to say anything else. But I compensated by eating light the rest of the day, because the reality is that in life there are going to be those sort of meals. If it costs me my goal weight this month, I will live with it.
I've got this coworker who does meal plans for people, and they look great when they stick to it. However, if he sees pics of them on facebook at a wedding eating a meal, he goes nuts. "You aren't sticking to the plan and blah blah." Well..of course not, it's a wedding, it's not like they're going to pack their own lunchbox and eat dry chicken and green beans there.
It's long term small changes that make the difference.
It's also why I record my weight daily. Seeing all these big fluctuations, but still progress over the month helps me maintain that motivation.
