Cat - I think your rain is with us in the north east today! Its been raining, cold and miserable all day.

We went to the neighborhood party yesterday -- I did good foodwise, I did end up having a few beers though. We actually left at 10! We were not expecting to stay there so late. DD had a great time (she is 6), we did as well. The scale is moving down, I'm going to do my wi on friday am. Today I'm doing well (it should be day 3 but after my slip last night, I may consider today day 1). what are your thoughts? should I start my phase 1 over or just keep going even if its not perfect?

I did work on my grocery list -- I have a few things I need. I did make a chickpea dip today -- it was yummy with some veggies. I have some of that already packed to take to work tomorrow.

OK, Chris' mom's birthday was fun, but I'm in carb-overload. I had like a zillion different kinds of pasta, plus birthday cake. OY! Heading to the store in a few!

This is my day for 'catching up'.
I've been catching up on the housework and laundry I didn't do yesterday because I was visiting my folks, and catching up on the posts I missed here and on the other sites I go to while I was without a modem.

I love Auston's jack o' lantern smile - just in time for Halloween, too!

Debbie, thanks for the message. It gave me some things to think about. I'm going to keep moving forward and not restart. I've done really well today and no cravings. We went out to dinner and I had a nice veggie soup and then a huge salad with grilled chicken. I appreciate your help!!

Thanks, Heidi! As much as we joke about not liking each other at all (there's an 8 year history, but just 1 month of dating thus far) hopefully we at least look like we could be a couple

Oy. I'm stocked, and now broke. 5 lb bag of potatoes to feed me for 2 weeks? $2.97. Three salads worth of romaine lettuce? $2.97. Dang. I had forgotten how expensive eating healthy is, but I'm good to go!

Cyndi, don't fret. I'm still in, although Chris has said "ok so you start this tomorrow, so I'll see you Saturday." Ha. Haha. Ha. Moo.

Thing that really buh-lows is that I have my tests rescheduled for tomorrow, so I'm not allowed to eat or drink anything from midnight until my tests are over. Going in to work from 8-9:30, then tests from 10-noon/1ish, THEN hospital salad bar (thank God our hospital food is relatively decent,) then driving across the street to see the specialist. I'll be a hungry girl by 1ish. Just pray for self-control for my first meal!!!!!
