Yup! Cottage beat me. I'm too long-winded!

Good morning Chicks

Cottage - Glad the storms passed through and you're going to have a nice day for your party. What kind of cobblers are you making?

Ruth - Enjoy obedience class. See you in the garden.

Kim - welcome back! I can't wait to see your pictures. You will be back on track right away and able to face the scale. Until then ignore the annoying little box until you're ready. Did you keep track of all that exercising? Funny how our definition of vacation changes as we get healthier

Well I don't think we are going to the coast today. There's a big storm just sitting there and it isn't really worth the drive. Probably just a nice bird walk down by the airport and then back to processing rhubarb, working in the garden and cleaning the house. Next weekend we are going to the coast and on a bird & whale watch on Monday so I can't really complain

Have a good day!

Good morning chicks, not a lot going on here today. I am going to clean my bedroom and then do some work this afternoon. DD's fever is gone but her throat is very scratchy, so I don't think the pool is a good idea today. So we'll hang out here and take it easy. I've invited Mom & Dad for dinner and I've got my chicken brining and a multitude of cold salads already made, so that should be easy. I'll just need to figure out something for dessert.

Welcome back Kim! I had a dream last week that we had a party at your house!
Cyndi and Ruth, I'm jealous that your strawberries are just starting, while ours are on the tail end. I wait for strawberries all year and they are here and gone so quickly. Well, there's still peaches to look forward to!
cottage, enjoy your party and don't work too hard! Wish Caitlyn happy birthday and congratulations on graduation from us.

NSV to share. The weight loss was really slow the last couple of months because I was near goal. I haven't bothered to measure in awhile but decided I would this morning. Was I surprised!. I started measuring a month after starting SBD. In that time I've lost 7" on my chest, 9.75" on my waist (1.5 in the last 6 weeks!), 8.25" on my hips, and 4.75 on each thunder thigh. I'm really happy about the waist numbers because I've really been focusing on that one because of the health connection. I wonder if measurements take awhile to catch up with weight lost or if it's just the exercise? Either way I'm not complaining.

Morning Ladies!!! Happy Sunday!
Cyndi - Thanks for the recipe advice. I need to research MasterCook, I find so many recipes on-line that having a program, not just printing them out, would be a good solution. I hope your rhubarb came out good. The ginger sounds yummy. And I got to tell you, I was watching BBC America yesterday and they had this show about cleaning and they actually used boiled rhubarb to clean all of the stainless-steel cookware. Rhubarb - the all-purpose veggie! Whale watching next week.....that sounds like so much fun! Which whales will you be looking for? And congrats on the NSV!!!! Great Job!!!

Cottage - I hope all is going well at the party, I'm assuming it's about to really swing. And yes, you are a crazy lady for doing this again at the end of July!

Kim - Welcome back! And great job jumping right back in. You've got to figure that if this is going to be a wol, not just a diet, then we have to give here and there, but also know that we can come back and be just as successful. Hope you had a great time!

Ruth - Hope your visit went well with your friend and that Disney did well at obedience class. You're such a good mom to teach her better manners. Good job!!!

Schmoodle - Hope you have a restful yet productive day.

Me- Got some great stuff at the farmers market yesterday that I'll be excited to add to the menu this week lots of beautiful stone fruit, some baby spinach, and a whole variety of summer squashes. We then went over to friends last night for poker. Did great on the table, however, I drank way too much wine. But we did find a nice Malbec, if any of you like wines out there, I'll let you know more. Today we're headed to church and then in the evening we're going to friends to watch the Lakers/Celtics game. Should be fun....but I don't have much hope for our team.
I hope everyone has a fantastic Sunday!!!!
ENJOY!!!
