Good morning all,
I'm new here and have a question for you. Hope this is the right place to post this. How do you keep from going too low while exercising. I like to walk in the mornings, when its cooler, but even after eating breakfast BS drops down under 50.
Eating more seems to be counter-productive to losing weight. Suggestions would be much appreciated.

Cool

Hi, all. BGL131. Warm here today. I feel better. Had gastritis again yesterday. It seems to help if I eat something. I guess it gives all that excess stomach acid something to do.
Meowee - Hope you feel better.
Rosey - enjoy the sunshine!
Cook - I don't have that problem but 50 is awfully low. Perhaps you can discuss this with your doctor and tweak your medication. You might check the diabetes sticky posts. There may be some information on there that will help.

Good Morning . . .

It's still raining around here and that isn't helping my various little aches and pains that are acting up after my tumble the other day. also still got a bit of an upset tummy on the go. Oh well, this too will pass.

I definitely agree that 50 is too low . . . are you checking both before your walk as well as after? Perhaps you should cut your walk in half and do the second part in the evening after the sun goes down. Only other suggestion would be that you carry an apple or a pear with you and eat that part way through the walk.

Both the weight and the BGL are running a bit higher than I'd like the past couple of mornings -- likely because I've not been feeling too great.

Updated that Byetta thread -- another article linking four more deaths to it.

Cool

Hi, all. BGL 140 this a.m. We're in the midst of a heatwave which is supposed to last all weekend. My stomach has quieted down. Find if I eat something in the a.m. it seems better. Only problem is I'm eating muffins, which are better than donuts or other things, but calorie heavy. As soon as my new health insurance kicks in I'll have to see the doctor about this. Always something these days. Well, you won't hear from me much, if at all, next week. We are having intense training and indoctrination into the new firm all week. Will have to be on my best behavior and not do any personal computer stuff. Sigh. Have a wonderful weekend.

I'm still feeling below par and we are being promised a very dull and wet Labour Day weekend anyway.

Hope the rest of you get some good stuff.

Hi . . . wherever you are and whatever you are doing . . .

Finally, the tummy is feeling a little better, but the aches and pains are not. Of course, if it would ever stop raining, things just might get better. I slept in this morning and seem to have pinched a nerve in the old sacto-area. sitting is not too bad, but I can hardly walk and when I do, I'm all hunched over. Hopefully this too will pass -- quickly.

Naturally the BGL was up this morning because of sleeping in and the weight -- well, guess I'm not going to be moving the ticker at all unless a miracle occurs in the next two days.

See you later, gang . . . keep things moving and shaking just as much as you possibly can.

Meowee -- Sorry you're still feeling poorly! Things have to turn around and get better. I pinch a nerve in my back about twice a year. I'm glad I have a good chiropractor to straighten me out.

Rosey -- Sounds like family fun around your place. Enjoy!

My parents will be here in 20 minutes. I am to entertain them for brunch. I love a challenge!

Glucose has been relatively stable since learning about starches. Thank you, Meowee!!

Have a great weekend everyone!

This thread is getting pretty long so it seems like a good time to start a new one for FALL -- even though it isn't the official start of the season, Labour Day weekend always seems to mark the end of summer for most of us.

So here's a link to our new spot . . . http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/show...65#post2342465 . . . see you all over there.
