Quick rush in...Fay so glad everything is going swimmingly. I'd do you. Tee hee. You are gorgeous, funny, talented and smart as a whip. Johnny Depp is missing out if he is not throwing himself at your feet!

Joyce: You can get the pop in pet door at any petsmart or one of those pet superstores. Measure the height of your slider though. Some are taller than others. The thing pops in and the bottom part is (the pop in part that loads from the bottom has springs in it for a snug fit).

Fay-I'm glad your play went so well. You are right about the fat keeping people away and when that changes, a lot of things change. You'll work it out. Your a smart girl.

I was thinking about how you guys call your kids DD21 and DD10, etc. Maybe I should start calling my dogs DC5 and DC2. What do you think? I'm just joking.

I went to church last night to the Vigil so I'm having a lazy Sunday morning. Still in my jammies even. I'm goint to experiment with a pizza recipe today. I'm going to make a crust with pork rinds. I'll let you know how it works out. I bought some amazing meat at the grocery store yesterday. Everything seemed to be on sale for easter so I have some good stuff in the freezer and I'll have to find some good recipes to make.

Joyce-today is the big day, huh? Good luck. Hope it isn't too stressful.

Forgot something. Soulbliss-I went looking for seitan yesterday. they don't have it at our healthfood store or the asian market. Any suggestions for online sources? I think I want to try a commercial source before I attempt making it myself.

Maybe I'll go take a shower and get dressed. BTW, I think I'm going to get to move my ticker tomorrow.

BUSY weekend for us here. We did yard work and house work all day Friday and Saturday. So tired it was hard to sleep. Got up early today and went to church at 7:30. It wasnt too easy getting the children to leave the Easter Bunny stuff but they did behave pretty well in church. We are off to my MIL for dinner and then me and the kids are going to visit my parents for a few days while DH stays home for work.
Aud- my children are DS turning 4 later this week, DS-5 1/2, DD9 1/2 and DS getting ready to turn 12 later this week. We have a pretty good spread there. Lots of parties and candy this week and so far I have been good. Havent wanted any of it. I have packed my cooler to take to visit my parents and I made deviled eggs for my MIL so I am set.
I will be out til the middle of the week. Hope the EB was good to everyone and yall have a great week!!

I'm reporting back on my pork rind crusted pizza. It was a bit of work but not overwhelming. The recipe says to bake the crust for 20 minutes before putting the toppings on and mine came out a little overbrown so I think I would cut that time back a little. Does it taste exactly like the real thing? no but it is a very acceptable alternative. I don't mind it at all. It doesn't taste wierd.

Thanks SoulBliss. I had to buy 4 of them to meet the minimum requirement so I hope I like them.

The only seitan I saw was the mix so I got 4 of them. I'm assuming I can mix it up and do various things with it? I'm not much on tofu. The only way I've found I can tolerate it is the silken kind in shakes.

I suggest adding powdered garlic and onion to the mix, as well as using broth instead of plain water to make it more tasty. If you can "spare" the carbs, a little tomato paste makes it tasty too.

Let me know how you like it!

Pork rind crusted pizza, eh? Fascinating!

Meanwhile, today is my weigh-in day. Despite Friday night being an alcohol-laden (and somewhat mixer-laden) debauch, and going slightly off-plan on Sunday (fried mushrooms that turned up coated in something suspiciously floury, and later salmon-wrapped asparagus bundles that had a mysterious coating of caviar-ish pink sauce that was suspiciously thousand island dressingy) I have still lost at least 3lb! (Maybe 4, actually, but I'm going with 3.)

HURRAH!

Thank you! Mwah!

I quite agree that this thread IS very spirited - and, man, I'm finding it SO helpful as a support mechanism too. Bless you all!

Meanwhile, I have now started rehearsing for Rumours, and it's pretty good fun so far. I plan to be down another 14lb at least by the time we perform at the end of May.

Bravo!!! Sometimes shaking it up (eating more, having a few drinks) pays off in that way!

Fay, how did you come to travel to Thailand? I want to go there someday myself and don't know how long someone who isn't a citizen is able to stay and work and so on. Anything you have to share would be of interest to me.
