I am glad there is a 190s thread..... I was looking for it.
Last weigh in I was 194.
I am trying to focus on the process. Talking it one meal and one day at a time. The second I start obsessing is the second I start to backfire.
How is everyone doing?

I'm doing good except the days I work I have trouble finding time to eat enough food. I go to the gym first thing when I wake up then I eat breakfast by that time it's about 10 or 11dependung when I woke up... Thenc some days I'll work at 11. Or 1 if I work at one then I have a lunch at 5 and get off at 8, but that's to late to eat dinner!! Like today,I work 11-8 scarfed down on omelet and now at. 3:30 I'm on my lunch, should I eat dinner at 8 when I get off? Cuz I'm just goona go to bed at 9 or 10. I didn't have time to hit the gym this morning

It is better not to eat too close to bed time, but studies show that it does not matter if you eat your calories in 1 meal or 6; calories are calories. Depending on your lifetstyle, eating less meals may be better than eating more meals. I personally eat two meals a day and it works great for me. I have protein powder when I wake up, go to the gym have my first meal at 12pm and second meal between 7-8:30pm. Sometimes I have an afternoon snack and sometimes I do not.
The research I've read proves that it is benefical to have a 12-18 hour period in a day when you are not eating (mine is from about 8pm at night until 12pm the next day - intermittent fasting). I have done my research and THIS WORKS FOR ME. It may not work for you.
In the end it is about the quality of your foods and your caloric intake, whether you look at them on a daily basis or a weekly average.
Also, have you tried green smoothies? I recommend smoothies you make yourself (I get 4 servings of fruits and veggies in my smoothies) and through it in a thermos so I can take it with me without worrying about it going bad.
There are solutions. Try different things and think outside the box and you will find something that works for you.

ah okay So if I eat a lot on my lunch that will be sufficient. I've always heard its best to eat small meals throughout the day to keep your metabolism up.. but I hate eating before bed..

Risssa I'm with you with the smoothies. I like to juice my veggies and fruits for a quick breakfast in the morning. I used to skip breakfast all the time, but you all know how bad that is.
I'm down to 195 as of today!

JessicaRT - the idea that eating frequent meals keeps your metabolism up is outdated. I believe you have be 36 hours without food before you metabolism drops (not 2-4 hours).
That is often suggested for a habit reason not a biological reason. Some people need to eat frequently otherwise they think they are going without food and then justify over doing it. Biologically you can eat 1-2 meals and be fine or you can eat 5-6 meals. The trick is to find out what works for you.
Tomorrow is weigh in day. I'll still be in the 190s but maybe in a week or two I'll have to switch threads
Keep up the good work ladies!

There are some people who need to eat every few hours for biological reasons, so let's not start talking hard and fast rules here For instance people with sugar sensitivity (hypo or hyperglycemia, diabetics, etc) need to eat regularly to keep their blood sugar in a correct place.
I think the general best way of thinking about it is to trust your body. If you are meeting your caloric needs and aren't hungry at 8pm, don't eat! If you're ravenous, your body is asking you to feed it, so have a snack. Etc.
I'm 198 this morning, so still have most of the 'decade' to go... But last Wednesday I was 199.8 so I'm making progress!

How is everyone doing?
So today is my weigh in day....and I am now 191.2. If I keep up the good work, this might be my last week in this thread!
It is an overcast and rainy day here. I enjoy the fall, but I enjoy it most in October....not in August! Looking forward to the long weekend.

I'm down 2.6 this week, hovering just above 197. Getting into the mid-190s and away from the dreaded 200!
