Hi, haven't seen you around. Wondered how you had been.
Oh my gosh, it has been in the upper 80's and lower 90's the last couple of days. It is suppose to be Autumn for heavens sakes. Not hot like this.

Oh my daughter feels your pain, she doesn't go frizzy she goes very very very curly. Can't do a darn thing with the stuff. I told her stop complaing lol. She could have my hair wavy that just hangs there in this weather.

Blah- I am sitting here watching the Saturday morning news and they just did the weather forecast . . . near 90 for the next 4 days! then maybe in the 70s by the end of the week. This pisses me off! The meteorologist just commented about how the average for this time of year in Virginia is 72 - we are 15 above normal! I hate this weather so much. I just want to turn the AC off in my house and put away my summer clothes for fall.
2Bthinagain, I'm just across the river from you in WV. I've actually become accustomed to the heat. And even though we don't need the drought either, I silently am often happy that it doesn't rain. I keep thinking that it'll be snowing soon enough and that'll be the end of my walks/runs. Pushing a stroller in snow, and having the baby out in the nippy air won't be a good idea. So as long as it's not raining, I can get in more walking and jogging.
I just went out for 4.2 miles this morning came back and spent over 2 hours in the yard. I could never have done that before. I used to just love getting home from work and sitting down in front of the AC. My husband is rail thin and even he can't stand the heat. He likes to work in the yard at the crack of dawn to beat the heat. I guess I just grew accustomed to it over time, going out for my walks and such, getting doses of the heat daily.

I just had a fit with the weather the other day. It was hot and humid in the mid 80's and just when I packed away all my summer clothes, I'm screaming to myself, "It's October already! It's supposed to be Fall already!"
grr. Next thing you know, we'll be smacked with winter and my awesome fall jacket won't see the light of day.

Like I tell my children, you might not think I notice but I do notice lol. You study hard and when you get rich and famous. I will let you take care of me in my old age the way I want to become accustomed to but haven't become accustomed to yet lol.
You know, I can remember when I was a kid we went trick or treating and it was warm and wonderful out. Never wore coats. Last 3 days have been in the lower 90's and upper 80's here. It was great for this weekend. Now I am ready for Autumn weather.

You might want to look into walking videos like the ones I use. No real place around here to walk except the school track and there always seem to be things going on there. The track surrounds the soccer field.
I use these Walk Away the lbs with Leslie Sansone. The set I have are 4 videos and they are 1-4 miles. I am sure there are a lot of other walking videos out there.
I noticed this topic heading in general chatter and had to reply - it snowed here today and I'm not looking forward to another 8 month winter snow covering.
Shy Moment, I actually LOVE walking outside. I already have about 10 WATP videos, but I reserve them for the winter season only because I can tend to get bored with the same ole same ole. With being outside, and having an odometer on the jogging stroller, I can pick any direction to go, see different scenery and keep it interesting, while still knowing how far I've gone. Helps me learn my fairly new neighborhood too. Like, don't go up that one street that's a straight up near vertical hill and find the dead-end sign at the top. YIKES!

I can understand that. Wish it were a bit safer around here, all the city people on both sides of our little town use our roads as cut thrus. Not to safe to walk on the roads. No real place to run. I have to use the videos. It is so pretty around here. Would be so much nicer to be able to do my walking and see the scenery
