Though they might not be quite as bad with feta
That's true, I hadn't thought of that...

And you're right, when I do it at home, I can do it much healthier!

When eating out, I've started to order omelettes with egg whites only and find I really like them!

I figured my breakfast was large, but it was also counting as my lunch so I'm ok with a 700-800 calorie range. That isn't something I'd do all the time; but I wasn't at home so I had to make do the best I could.

Luckily it did not have any cheese except feta, and there wasn't much feta in it. I'd guess 4 tablespoons?

I hadn't thought of asking if they'd make it with egg whites. I'm pretty shy about special-ordering things at restaurants, unless its just asking for something on the side. Next time I find myself eating breakfast out, I'll have to see if they'll do the egg-white thing for me. I know that's a lot less cholesterol.

I set a goal of myself for this week to lose one pound. I won't kill myself if I don't do it, but I need to just have small, short-term goals I think.

It's the calories and fat that it really can help. Keep an eye out for "Egg Beater" substitutions. Lots of restaurants will mention them on the menu, though they do add an extra cost.

Personally, I tend to go for the whole eggs, but I wouldn't go for the potatoes or toast at all.

Ok, I've totalled my calories for today using FitDay (which is fun!) and I've come up with 1450, and I counted everything I put in my mouth today. I had to drive my fiance to the store so he could run in and get half and half for his coffee, and he asked if I wanted anything when he ran in. I said "Nothing I can have." hehehe. I was craving something sugary, but I'm just sitting at home with some water right now and feeling fine.

As for exercise, we were running all over my town AND S.F. today shopping, so that has to count for something. Walking in S.F. is not so easy.

Thanks for the FitDay suggestion, it's a lot more fun than just writing my stuff down in a food journal.
