Hey, all. I weighed this morning and am at my ticker weight of 165. Would be nice to dip down a couple before T-Day so that I don't go much over the 165 mark(wishful thinking). I'm going to do my darndest to stay OP this weekend. We're having dinner here at work on Tuesday. It will probably be nothing legal but the turkey knowing how everyone eats here. If so I'll try to eat a light bf and supper so that it won't be too damaging. TALITHA- You're kids are too cute! Well, it's getting busy....

AFTERNOON TO ALL MY BUDDYS!!!

Just got home from the Pain Center. My Doc out there gave me something new to try....it may not be new, but new to me. These patches that are non-narcotic called LIDOCANE PATCHES....I remember LIDOCANE from when SOLARCANE first came out...it was the only product that would help my severe sunburns when we would come here on vacation. Anyway, He said when I have the pain in the cervical region to cut off a piece of this patch and slap it on there and it will numb it. The patch stays on for 12 hrs.
JACK...This might help some of your ailments...you do have to have a script for them, but as for some samples..that's what I have (regular size)and if they work, he will give me a script to get them. I'll let you know how they are.
The MRI was WONDERFUL!! Best experience I've ever had. I don't like the tube, and the other open machine hung over you and for me it was scary because I always envisioned the dang thing falling on me. This machine looks like a CT machine and the only part of your body that goes in is the effected area.

WELCOME TO OUR NEW PEOPLE....Stick around, we're a lively bunch...there's always someone who can answer your questions...

I've been trying to write this for two hours now. I keep nodding of..Please forgive me, but I WILL BE BACK!!!

I had a chance to skim through the book, "You on a Diet", this afternoon. It is mostly stuff I have heard before, but he gets into a lot of anatomy type stuff like what cholesterol actually does to you body, the role of you stomach, liver, etc. Anatomy was my favorite part of nursing school and I really enjoyed the digestive system, so I am right in my element! It covers leptin and ghrelin, not eating 3.5 hrs before you sleep, walking 30 min daily along with strenght training, aerobic exercise and stretching. Eating more fiber and paying attention to when you are satisfied, not full. Don't eat anything with simple sugars, HFCS, or enriched flours in the first 5 ingredients. The illustrations are cartoon style and the author has a sense of humor. You do not get the feeling that he's preaching to you. I am enjoying it and it has some recipes that I want to try, but basically things that I already knew. So many of the diets nowdays seem to be pushing the same ideas, whole grains, unprocessed foods, whole foods, etc. They seem to be realizing what we always knew!

Good morning! Like BOB, I am up early. Unlike BOB, I slept all night...only woke once at 1, and went right back to sleep. Tom is off camping...makes me wonder! I did not expect to sleep considering the evening I had, but I won't go into that...

I have a big event at church tomorrow that I am in charge of. Thankfully, I have some folks helping this afternoon, but I still need to find the things I need to decorate the tables. It is a Thanksgiving feast, and I have medium pumpkins to use, but I want some gourds, and stuff. Unfortunately, no one seems to carry Thanksgiving decorations...just Halloween, then Christmas...

I am going to get dressed and head over to Wal Mart. This is the only time to go..otherwise it is horribly crowded!

Good Morning everyone. I was the only one up in my house but I think I hear children moving aroung in the other room.

We have a fun day planned. We have friends coming over today to watch the Alabama/Auburn football game. I'm an Alabama fan but don't really have high hopes for them today. Oh well, such is life, I will root for them anyway. I'm going to put some wings on the grill and make what is called a "Big Ole Mess". This is wonderful (if you can handle spicy). Since I'm not officially starting the sugar busters until Monday, I thought, one more day wont hurt. This "mess" has Smoked Sausage, onions, jalapeno pepper, green peppers, tobasco sause, and sweet & sour sauce. Mix it all up put it in a foil bag and throw it on the grill. YUM!

Anyway just thought I'd stop by to say I hope ya'll have a great Saturday.

I forgot one main thing in the book. He really emphasizes waist size rather than weight. Ideal is 32.5 for women and 35 for men. I have not seen 32 in years!!! I did not see a lot of tofu in the recipe section, maybe a couple? I saw a veggie soup I want to try and a chicken and white bean dish. I saw some of the show Bob was talking about last night. He had a normal sized heart, aorta and liver then also an enlarged heart, plaque filled aorta and "fatty" liver from being overweight. It was pretty gross and quite a visual. Maybe just the kick in the a@@ I need! I am going to try to be sensible this week while the kids and I are out, but then I figure I have four good weeks till Christmas and I would love to be in the 2-teen somethings again!!

We're off the have emissions tests done for our car tags then we're going Christmas shopping! I'll let you know if we find any deals!!

I just got in from a marathon of running errands. I went to Walmart, Publix and then took a bunch of stuff over to the church. I met a friend there, and we had a good talk, unpacked my car, then I came home. I found bunches of fall leaves at WM that were marked down from $3 each to 75 cents. I got 25 of them to use on the tables. With the pumpkins I have, I might have enough. I kind of don't think so though. I may run up to the dollar store and see if they have any candle holders that would work.

I am really sleepy, even though I slept well last night. Bummer! I may take a nap!

I found a new Dannon yogurt at the grocery store. It is sweetened with splenda instead of aspartame, and they have some yummy flavors. I tried the orange mango one...yum!

This is going to be a fly by...sorry! I have to go finish up the packing up so I can get back to the church in time to meet my helpers and set up!

well, we got some shopping done. It was fun. I saw 25-40% off pretty consistantly at most stores. I got my mom and dad done, and part of Craigs. Sean and Rachel both want big ticket items, so that's pretty much it for them. he wants a psp and she wants an ipod. There will be a couple of small things also, but not much! They also have two sets of grandparents to get from, so I'm sure there will be plenty!~

I hope to get some decorating done this week as well as letting the kids do some shopping for their friends. A couple of doctor appts on Monday and Tuesday. The local tree lighting on Friday night that Rachel will be dancing at. That's about it andI think that's enough!

[b]GOOD SUNDAY AFTERNOON EVERY BUDDY!!!

I thought I was going to have to hire a crane to get me up from the bed this morning. My lower back feels like someone gave me a hugh swat with a 2 x 4
several times in a row! Maybe I'll try one of those patches that the DOC gave me on Friday!

I still have LAUNDRY to do from the trip... and I guess I better get started on it...it's just a matter of DOING IT!!!

Leftovers will be the meal of the day. I fixed cornedbeef and cabbage last night so it will be even better today!

I guess GATOR has deserted us...too bad since she's the one who always tells NEW PEOPLE that She and I aren't really fighting, it's just friendly SEC battering between the two of us! Oh well...

What's everyone fixing for TURKEY DAY???? I'm doing turkey thighs instead of a whole turkey. We will have traditional Southern cornbread dressing to go along side and I've not decided on the veggies. The green beans aren't good this time of year so maybe asparagus for something green...after that, I'm still stumpted...I'll think of something. I would love to fix some scalloped oysters, but then there's all those crackers....whole wheat crackers wouldn't be good in this dish...I'll think of something though...

THIN...is there a lot of tofu in DR OZ's eating plan? Give us some examples of what there is to eat...will you? OH...and as for a 32 inch waist???? I don't think my waist was 32 inches when I was born.....!!!!

JUSTIN'SMOM.....YEA!!!!! ANOTHER SEC FAN!!!!! We get quite rowdy around here during football season...so be prepared!

My DOC upped my mg from 2 to 3 on my LUNESTA so I pray this does the trick! This not sleeping is killing me!

One more week until I go back to work....UGH!!!! I'm thinking about bidding on a job in BED CONTROL. I worked there for over ten years and I'm hoping my experience will be a plus. The only thing is they now work ten hour days which I'm totally not used to. BUT....we'll see....everyone keep your fingers crossed for me

Well, I'm off to get something done....even if it's wrong!

Bob- See my post at the top of this page... I am in charge of the turkey ane mashed potatoes at MIL on Thursday. Late in the day we will head down to Powder Springs, maybe 1 hr trip, to my sisters for leftovers. I am thinking of taking some fruit since my kids will be sick of all the eating and if there is any left, they can have it with breakfast the next morning.

MORNING EVERY BUDDY!!!!

Here I am at 4:30 a.m. and I'm still up. I'm watching movies and drinking . The movie of choice is THE BREAK-UP (Jennifer Aniston) and it's a keeper!

I've got just one more week to get my body clock back in proper mode! My Doc did up my LUNESTA to 3mg from 2mg and I haven't tried that yet, but I'm hoping that works!

Is everyone ready for ?
I went ahead and got everything early. I always get stuck going to the grocery at the last minute, standing in a line that would get you to Mexico, getting mad and .Not happening this year...

I've been so lazy since we got back from our trip, I'm still doing laundry so that's the plan for today. I'm going to finish everything!!! Yesterday was a total blur. When I got up,
my back and sciatic nerves (in both butt cheeks down to my ankles) were beyond hurting...SO........I took my pain medication and muscle relaxers and
settled in for the day...and I mean settled! So my whole day was lost until after 10 p.m. Lucky for me the footbal game ran over and I didn't miss WITHOUT A TRACE!!!

I haven't bought anything yet for Christmas...well...when Mason was born, I gave Cathy (I'll call it a pendant) http://www.lifetimemothers.com/prodi...umber=415331CA . (it's the one with thefamily of four) Well, I thought it came with a chain, but no, so they also offer chains and she picked out one and told me that this was her Christmas and not to get her anything else. Y'all know me, I will get her something else. Maybe something from Bare Minerals...As for everyone else?
I DON'T KNOW!!! THANKS GOODNESS FOR ONLINE SHOPPING!!!!!

I'm rambling here...I think I'm getting giddy so I'll stop...I'll talk to y'all
later!
