It's really quiet here at my work today. Have I mentioned lately how hard it is for me to sit still for very long?

Anybody heard about this? I'm wondering if it's for real.

Here's the kicker Becky ...."In conjunction with a healthful diet and regular exercise, the inclusion of a novel food product, such as a chocolate product that contains plant sterols, can be a safe and effective means to lower both total and LDL cholesterol levels." .... I wouldn't be running out and buying extra stuff on purpose

Hey girls, how did we do over the Thanksgiving holiday (USA)?

I did not count my calories all week, but listened to my hunger and tried to pick the better choice. And... I actually lost a pound! I will update my ticker on Wednesday since that is my official WI day.
The only thing I regret not doing was my running. I packed my running shoes but never made it out the door. There really was no safe place to run, but I should have got creative and went looking.

I didn't make it through the holiday weekend unscathed. I did very good on Thanksgiving--I had seconds, but my tummy didn't agree and DH ended up eating most of my seconds. BTW, my firsts were all small helpings. Seconds of only turkey a little potato and gravy. I was so full, I couldn't manage any of the 6 pies I had made for the gathering!
The rest of the weekend was uneventful until Sunday when we went to brunch and then out to dinner. I'm up a pound from that! I'm glad I didn't adjust my ticker down when it did go down, because then I'd be up more than just a pound!!
I've decided I'll reach my goal for Christmas. My house guests will be leaving on Wednesday so I can get back to regular eating and not entertaining eating (if you know what I mean!--I fixed a casserole the other day that was loaded with sour cream........yikes!)

I ate plenty at the Thanksgiving meal and didn't count calories that day at all. The main difference was eating dessert--I usually just skip that. In hindsight, I think that was the right choice, 'cause I didn't feel deprived the rest of the weekend. I exercised everyday and ended up losing a pound for the week.

Good Morning Darlings!

I'm sticking close to home today. I did the staffing for today and it's kinda thin for this afternoon. So if we have a sudden influx of sick people ... I said I'd go if they need me.

Wouldn't hurt to do some housework. And I think I'll make a pot of soup. Dh has had a tummy bug and isn't eating much, so soup would be nice for him.

I'm off the hook for today! They called for days tomorrow and it would have to be a cold day you-know-where for them to pay me overtime for evenings today.

What kind of trouble can I get into ....

Did I say I was looking for trouble?! I take it back!

Anybody deal with Bell Canada? I could just cry! Finally one day last week, I got hold of a real live person to find out why I wasn't getting a bill since we moved. She was lovely! We spent a nice time chatting while she took all my information to make sure my account info was current. She checked and told me that the bill was paid up to date I should stop worrying, I'd get a bill in the next few days. Well, it's a few days later and I got ... a disconnection notice!
On the phone again ... second number I tried ... I got to talk with Crystal! Well this little darling couldn't really help me because she needed confirmation numbers off my bill. I DON'T HAVE ONE! Did you look at your bill online? You should have called more often. "If I wasn't getting a bill, I'd be calling all the time!"
She then transfered me to accounts and billing where I was put on hold. I hung up!
In no mood to spend any more time on the phone, I started sending emails. I've already got an answer to one.
Did I mention that automated "Emily" hung up on me one day last week?

I really want a beer! But it'd probably interfere with the tylenol I'm gonna need for this headache!

Thank you for your time and kind ears

Oh, I'm a bad girl - I had a wobble today.

I decided that I wasn't going to try and lose now till Christmas, just maintain - and I promptly pigged about 300 calories over budget.

Stupid, stupid!!

Now my willpower is back and I AM going to try to lose but I hate those wobbles.

300 calories ain't that bad. Go climb some stairs and it'll be a distant memory.

It's going to be cold here tonight. We've had the warmest November I can remember. But winter's going to be here in just a few hours...

SusanB, I don't deal with Bell but I've had lots of phone problems. I can't count on my hands (I'd have to use my toes too ) how many issues I've had with my phone. I definitely feel for ya! Here's to better luck tomorrow

I've been eating much better lately. More protein, more iron, less sweet stuff in general. My willpower is definitely getting better, to paint a nice picture: I wish I had this hat --> to show my own enthusiam for healthy eating right now. I think posting on here is helping a lot! Thanks Featherweights!!
