Hi Girls,

Just checking in with a quick hello! We had some mild weather here today in the mid 80s/low 90s. Such a nice change from the usual 100+ weather we usually have. Walking out of church is usually a mad dash to a steaming car BUT it was SO pleasant!

Anyway, we just finished with dinner and are going to relax and enjoy the rest of the afternoon. We had a green salad with mock rubens (Boca burger, MOUNDS of homemade sauerkraut -- a favorite in my family) and a little bit of mustard.

I was down another two pounds this morning and am feeling fantastic! A little sore from my workout yesterday, but overall fantastic.

Have a great evening!

Jessalee

KAYLEY - I missed your promotion while I was out horsing around - COOL! A Huuuuuge CONGRATS to you!!!

NotTheCheat - WTG on your IKEA trip! Yes, it DOES feel wonderful to be capable, doesn't it?! I've only been to an IKEA once, but I LOVED it!

Well, the scale was really rude this morning, but still nothing I didn't expect after my bad food week at the fair. However, I spent the hot day working pretty hard at two different barns, cleaning stalls, scrubbing water buckets and other barn work, plus on my food I'll give myself a "9" for the day. Just for kicks I got on the scale this afternoon, at a time of day when it always goes UP.... BUT! it was down, like 4 pounds. I know - it's just water. I've never sweat like that before in my life!!! But it's still good to see 278 again. Now for the rest of the REAL fat! One more to go to return to my pre-fair weight, then on down to 199... with a few stops on the way I suppose.

Valerie - lol .. no prob on the share of broken bones .. my sister had a worse time once .. broke one arm and fractured the other ... she was walking round like a mummy for weeks rofl ... and that was off a horse too! rofl ... Oh pasta is the baddy for me too! Esp if its macaroni cheese .. I could eat that for New Zealand! rofl .. love my bread rolls too ... miss having a burger already .. but happy to be losing the weight still.

endthereign - wow .. what a walk!! OMG ... I couldnt even make it to a mile let alone 3! WTG!! Big pat on the back

rkrs - hiya hun .. nice to see you .. hope you are keeping well and feeling good about things

Sharon - Im in the North Island on the East coast .. the area is the Wairarapa, we are about ummm 4-5 hours south of Gisbourne ... that by the way is one of the hottest places in summer in NZ, which is one of the main reasons I wouldnt want to live there .. lol .. I dont like too much heat .. the Wairarapa is great tho .. we are just over an hour from Wellington (the capital), but we have a lovely rural outlook and have lots of beaches etc to spend summers at. Im a kiwi born and bred lol .. although as my dad is Canadian I regard myself as half Canadian too (terrible when NZ vs Canada in a sports thing .. I just cant cheer for one without cheering for the other lol). Compared to the UK our pay packets arent as high of course .. our dollar aint that good either rofl ... BUT .. there is a quality of life that makes up for the difference in pay packets .. actually .. in the area where we had our shop (the next town over from us) there were HEAPS of English accents lol .. and the house we just bought we bought from a young english couple who was buying a bigger house. The main centers and cities of NZ do have a higher cost of living .. but then you also have access to more things close by as well .. so I guess it depends on what you are looking for really .. I have helped about umm 17 ppl at last count move over lol .. giving them all the info I can and directing them to sites for more info etc .. so if I can help you with anything just let me know While I loved travelling the world in 2004 .. I wouldnt leave NZ for good for anything

Kayley - in case I havent already told you .. WTG on your promotion. Always a positive in a year of other things going on

Misti - WTG on you baggy top! lol .. always a positive to have loose clothing happening Mind you .. I wear baggy clothes all the time .. so how will I know?? rofl .. Im in awe of you swimming too hun ... you definitely give me a goal to get back in the pool - as does everyone else who has the gumption to get in and swim

Nancy - WTG on your not one .. not two ... but THREE NSVs!!! Very kewl to acheive a new milestone for sure

Mel - good start already .. even if its not official Getting yourself set up so that when you start you go in without the excuse of something else is in the house that you have to use up first etc .. is always a good thing

Brenda - WTG hun on your sales .. even if they werent your jewellery .. at least it got rid of some of the clutter .. and Wonderful on buying a Gibson .. its a great guitar depending on the model I suppose lol .. but Im sure your FIL will know whats what with it

Zelma - WTG to get to the mini finalists!! I forwarded the link to everyone in my email list to get them to vote for you too So good luck and have a blast this week

Abbey - I do the same thing you do ... well .. sorta .. I dont do anything on Sunday .. I still have my JC food n all ... but I spent the day wrapped up in my dressing gown lol .. mind you the weather was yuck lol .. so it made it easier for me to stay inside and wrapped up lol .. Im sure your hubby missed you heaps too

Sugar - wtg on you extra couple of pounds Remember to pace yourself tho And great that the weather has cooled down to something a little more comfortable for you too

Valerie - pleased to see you have wrangled that scale back into good behaviour rofl ... Im sure you will be back on the tracks soon too

Well, my hunny went back to the city last night .. and I couldnt sleep til really late (3am+) .. it was at about 2am when I started thinking about chocolate and lollipops ... grabbed my bottle of water and started suckin on that instead ... still didnt do anything for my craving tho rofl .. Im not feeling 100% today .. more due to having my TOM for just over 2 weeks so far (yes "so far" .. still going) rather than the diet .. usually I have some chocolate to give me some extra energy, but now Im just gonna have to get thru it and find something else to give me an energy boost.

Still .. its a new week .. and only 1 week gone since I started .. so there is a long road ahead .. oh .. just remembered have to change my motto

Keep well everyone and keep smiling ... life is not a dress rehearsal ... so get on out there and give the performance of your life

Brenda - Hubby is in the air force so he's away yes on a trip since June 16. Just one more week to go, though it feels like he's been gone a lot longer. The house feels really empty without him here boo hoo.

Sugarkube! Stop it you're putting us all to shame!!! (kidding, of course, you rock!) I'm just jealous cause it was 'the week of the evil one' for me and I'm still at the same weight I was on Tuesday!! Grr!!!

Brenda, I hope the 'OUCHES' were for my ankle & not the hair colour, lol! When are you posting some pics of the jewellery you make? I'd love to see some.
Nightkatt thanks for the info, I didn't want to ask you too much, it seems rude, but it's great to know you are there. We have lots of official sites on 'favourites' it's just the thing of getting Steve to look for a job or advertise himself in a newspaper or website. If we sold our house we could afford a bigger one over there, near the beach with no mortgage, which is a BIG incentive, plus the fact that Steve could sail again and I could get a (hefty, strong!!) horse. But I'm not pushing him, there's no point, I'll wait until all the overtime he does starts to make him THINK how much better off we'd be, financially, family time-wise and health-wise. Oh and I have those TOMs that last the whole month!!! have you been checked out at the Dr's? and the choccy thing, try sucking some really good quality dark chocolate, it is good foe you and I find 2-4 squares satisfies even my gluttonous appetite!!! Have you been seeing your guy long? Might one of you move in with the other in time? Sorry if I'm being nosey, Ammi & i both had a child and our guys moved in pretty soon, then became our hubbies, it's hard when they go back isn't it?
My ankle is hurting today, more than the last few days, I don't know why.
Sugarkube, brilliant on the loss, I have no idea what 'mock reubens' are but your list of ingredients sounds nice, lol!
Abbeycat, do your cats go crazy when hubby gets home? Are you hoping to suprise him with a good weight-loss? It must be easier when you don't have to cook for a hungry man!! Just keep healthy stuff in for yourself, even though you must miss him a lot, the 'welcome homes' must make up for it?
Ammi, I hope you weigh-in went/goes wellxxxxx
I have to go & put my foot up, ice it & take some painkillers.
xxxsharon

Default Join us for August exercise!!!

Wow, I am woefully behind in reading here, but I just wanted to tell all the newbies and remind all the oldbies (oldbies?) that we have a very active exercise thread here! (The Sizzlin Hot August Exercise Thread, which will be stickied when the month begins).

It's not a competition, but we all set exercise goals in terms of number of minutes and then report back to the group. In turn as a group we track the number of minutes we exercise each month. The accountability is great, as is watching those group totals rise.

We are working on a goal of exercising for 100,000 minutes! Think about it!! That's over 1666 HOURS of exercise, all being done by women who have weighed or weighed 300 pounds!

What's more, I think we will make that goal this month!

Come and be a part of it!!!! You can set goals for any exercise you like (I count my ab and back exercises, as well as my walking and weight lifting) and you can set small goals too (maybe best to start there!). Most of all, its great for our bodies, and it's fun!!! (I never thought I'd say that).

I'd like to put in a special call for some of our missing members who were a part of it in the past but drifted away... please join us again!!
