Talitha: You have to be careful, chicka! You're gonna wear yourself out and not have any energy to give birth!

Monet: I see you're up and at 'em enough to hit Harry's! I hope you get feeling better from here!

Toni: Have fun with your brother...you'll miss him when he's gone!

Solly: Nothing wrong with smooth waters and not too exciting days. Gives us time to relax a little.

Thunder: Hi there! Hope to see more of you when your internet gets straightened out!

Well, is that if for replies? Gosh...where is everyone? We were at the beach at my mom's house all day. I had to take my car in because the check engine light was on...they couldn't find out what was wrong...in other words, everything was fine. They think it was just the computer resetting itself or something. Anyhow...my dad met us there and we went back to their house for lunch and then sat at the beach for a few hours while they fixed it. The kids got some nice sun and Kyle is getting to be a regular fish. He swims out way past the dock (its called Sand Bay because there are sand bars that go waaaaay out and its only waist deep most of the way) with Shelley and they splash and have a great time. Then he moseys in and builds sand 'castles'. And I get to relax and read and work on my 'off white'. I never have been a good tanner...no matter how long I sit there, I never get much color. I just get hot and sweaty. But it feels good to soak up the sun, then jump in the river and cool off. Will post pictures (or send them to Monet for posting) when I get a chance.

Okay...talk to you guys later on!!

Kris

Oh, and no word on the job yet, other than when I dropped off my resume they told me there were only two calls on the job and that one of them was me! So, I'm hoping this means I have a good chance at it. I was sitting on the beach today saying to myself..."Yup...I can get used to this all summer!" Now that Kyle's beach-worthy. Up until now, he's just been a stress at the beach...eating sand, heading for the water trying to drown himself. That type thing. This is the first summer I've been able to sit and enjoy the beach with both my kids...I usually would just leave Kyle with my mom. Last year, everytime I brought him down, he'd jsut start to cry because he didn't like the sand on is feet. Now, its smooth sailing...speaking of sailing...I'd like to get a small wind surfing type thing and put the kids on it next year....that would be fun...or a small canoe or kayak. I'm bound and determined to turn my kids into bonafide river rats...like I was as a kid!

Me again....just a quick boob update. I switched to decaf coffee (I've been adding a few scoops of hi-test and slowly decreasing the amount so now I just add a splash on top of the decaf in the filter bin) and my boobs are in GREAT shape. The suspicious spot is just about history...just a shade of what it used to be. So, thank Goodness for that!!

Okay...off to take my vitamins and my second glass of iced green tea for the night.

(just giving Monet the night off from talking to herself and thought I'd talk to myself for a while...)

Once I get all the ends of my baby blanket tied off and tucked in, I'll take a picture of it and send it off to Monet for posting. It turned out perfect!! I just really feel bad for the poor baby. But, you know how the Lord works in mysterious ways...when we were talkign to the mom and dad at a party a few weeks ago...the dad was expressing disappointment at the baby being a girl...well, more or less an anxiety at the baby being a girl because the family is all boys...which prompted my usual speech of how the man is the provider of the X or Y chromosome, so he better not be blaming the mom for the baby being a girl...and with the mom smoking up a storm, I was feeling a little bad for the baby at that point...but maybe, in a round about way, maybe all the drama of the baby being born so early and fragile, it will bring mom and dad around to what a delicate balance their actions have on their daughter. Ya know? Maybe dad won't be so anxious and unable to understand a girl and become more protective of his tiny little girl and the mom will knock off the smoking? Or pay more attention next time she gets preggers? Lets hope...

Well band camp is over and Sean has really enjoyed it! I'm so excited. Rachel has always had dance that she just jumped right into and would live at the studio if we'd let her. Sean has tried tae kwon do, gymnastics and baseball and just never had anything click, so maybe this is it. Of course I am going to be burning up the road for the next few months to class and practices.

I also signed up for the adult ballet class today (gulp) I know I am still way overweight, but maybe this will embarrass me into being more accountable and also help me tone up at the same time. Now I just have to find some plus size dance clothes.

I went to the doctor to have my thyroid rechecked yesterday morning and it is in the normal range and I was back to my ticker weight. That is a good thing!!

Can you say R-E-L-A-P-S-E? Going to the store totally wore me out and I feel really crumby tonight. I hope I am better in the morning, since I have to be going all day tomorrow. I have not been this miserable since my hysterectomy! I swear!

I feel kind of cranky (duh! I wonder why!) so I am going to sign off here and go to bed. Oh, and confession time: I ate the toppings and half the crust off a couple of pieces of pizza for dinner tonight. I could hardly taste anything...I don't know why I bothered!

Well my brother is gone. I sure miss him already but he's on his way back to Colorado. I enjoyed the time him and I spent doing things alone and getting all the visiting in. Now I have to get back to the treadmill and back to eating right. I wasn't to bad but not good either.

Monet- Oh dear you've done to much and put yourself back down. You have just got to rest gal and get over this. So get your butt to bed!

Techwife- Sure sounds like you're having fun with the kids. I live right on the river here but its way to hot to enjoy it.

Talitha- I hope you have that baby before a C section.... I'll send up some prayers....

Thin- What a great thing a ballet class. How fun.....

Got to run DH is making us a grilled cheese sand....

Hi everyone! Just checking in...Shelley has a parade today. Last night I watched Aquamarine with her. I really like this movie. A nice premise where it ends that girls don't always need a boy to make them happy. Kinda Little Mermaidish, only Prince Eric turns out to not be the key to her happiness. A much better message for girls. IMHO.

Tonight, we watch Failure to Launch....the latest installment in my Matthew McConaughey collection.

Anyhow...gotta go get ready for the day!

Good morning! (I just eeked in here before it was no longer morning! ) The birthday bash last night went very well...we had a great time, but did not get home until after 1. I was in bed by 2. I slept until 10:30 this morning, only waking once or twice! I was so tired! The stress of the whole thing drove my glucose levels up in addition to wiping me out. My cold though, seems better today. I did not have the awful sore throat when I woke up, just some congestion.

I had something yesterday that I had never had before. A fresh lichee fruit. You peel it, then eat it. It has a huge seed in it. It was awesome, but I think way too glycemic to be legal. I will be afraid to eat any of them again, after what my blood glucose levels were doing yesterday, but it was a fun experience.

At the party, we had shrimp, hummus, vegetables and dip, fruit, and Jamaican pattys, which are spicy little meat pies. Those were the appetizers. For dinner there was roast beef, chicken sate, green beans almondine, and rice. I just tasted the rice. I ate too much shrimp and pattys, and passed on the fruit except a few strawberries. They served cake and Jamaican fruit cake for dessert. I had a bite of Tom's fruit cake, but did not eat any other cake. I really did not want any.

I am hoping to get into the pool today and do a short water aerobics workout. I have really missed working out!

TECH: What kind of parade are they having today? Have fun!

TONI: I am glad you had a good time with your brother. Do you get to see each other often?

I hope everyone is doing well!

Good afternoon. This day is flying by. I just made us breakfast of two soft boiled eggs and toasted ww english muffins. Guess thats lunch too. I'm getting some laundry done. I've got a ton of it to do. Also want to walk on the treadmill today.

Monet- so glad your party turned out well and you had a good time. The food sounds so yummy. Its good you're on the mend with that awful cold. My brother and I are lucky if we see each other once a year. I'm grateful when we get together.

Tech- How was Failure to Launch? Have a happy day....

Well off till tomorrow....
