Evening everyone! I feel wretched tonight. I have found I can't tolerate onions on my hamburger while taking this med.

Tom has the day off tomorrow and we are planning on heading out early to hike in the mountains. I may not be on until later in the afternoon, so everyone have a wonderful Friday...and post some Friday Funnies!

Happy Friday ladies.

I am happy to report that we made it to the gym 2 nights this week I did the EFX machine for 25 minutes and the treadmill for 10. We didn't want to overdo since it has been so long since we have been there.

After work, we are going to the race track. it is closing weekend and we haven't been since Derby.

No big plans for the weekend. DH is playing golf tomorrow and I have to get my hair done (went last week to do that, but had the wrong appt date). We will probably go to a friend's pool the rest of the weekend.

Bob, I can't beleive you have another virus. You definately need to do something to boost your immune system. Heck, mine is suppressed and I don't get sick that often. Take care of yourself and get some rest.

Toni, glad you got a good report from the doctor. Your dinner could have been a lot worse, so don't let it affect you.

Susan, so glad to see your post. When you get too busy to get here and just lurk, just pop in with a big Hi so we know you are still around. Good luck with your candidates.

Heart, we have to find something to help you. Something I used to try (and need to get back to) when facing something not good for you, stop and ask yourself "Do I want to eat this or do I want to lose wt?" Maybe if you really think about it before hand you won't do it. You and I are so alike in our eating habits. I always think, what they heck, I blew it, go ahead and eat all you want to.

KayeC, you dinner sounded delish. Hope you can stay cool this weekend.

Tech, my house really needs cleaning, can you come by when you are finished with yours?

Monet, Enjoy your hike in the mountains. That means Tom must be feeling better, that's good.

Talitha, hope you have the baby this weekend. I haven't seen a post, so maybe????

Have a great weekend everyone.

Good morning. Just had a peach and 2 soft boiled eggs and a half of a ww english muffin for breakfast. It was so good and filling. Can't believe what a difference it makes eating breakfast. Don't know whats for lunch yet. Maybe a chicken sand. And dinner is going to be a chef's salad. This week end my DH is going to help me dig my old treadmill out. So Monday I should start walking a bit on it. We're going grocery shopping today. I'm wanting to get me the stuff for some fruit smoothies.

Bob- I'm so sorry you're under the weather again. I hope you get lots of rest this week end and feel better by Monday.

Monet- I hope you get to feeling better soon to. It sure doesn't hurt to take it easy somedays.

Heartmom- Sure know what thats like to stay on track. I've been off SB so long and now I'm fighting to stay on it. I want to lose so bad.

KayeC- Hope your dinner came out good. It sure sounded yummy.

techwife- Well I have those fibrious breasts and thought I felt a lump in mine so I go next Wed. to have a mamo at the hospital. They say coffee makes it worse, and I drink lots of it.

Solly- Howdy to you. Hope you have a great week end....

Guess I'd better go get dressed for my shopping trip. Have a good SB day!

AFTERNOON EVERY BUDDY!!

Feeling a little better today, I'm sure the good nights sleep did wonders! Here's the deal with this particular strain of virus. It's been around since April and it does reoccur with no time frame to do so. The first round of it is the worst and casues severe dehydration and potassium loss. When it hits again, it's after the person thinks they are well and resumes regular diet etc. The hidden bacteria is just waiting and lurking. I was told to eat the bananas because of the potassium replacement, but also because bananas cause constipation and will help with the diarrhea. The no dairy thing is to ward of the bad bacteria. When asked what I had been taking to help with the symptoms, I told her KAOPECTATE and she said to take IMMODIUM because the first has several ingredients and the IMMODIUM only has 1 ingredient.

As for my IMMUNE SYSTEM...I was told yesterday if this appears again (which she doesn't think it will) to have my Doc run a full blood panel and testing. It seems like I've been sick with something for the last two years.

I'm off to get my bananas and I'll be back later.

Well, I went to the grocery store today and spent over $200!!!! I was in shock! But, I did get a lot of meat, fruit and other essentials for probably the next two weeks. Sean has band camp next week, so I will be fixing good dinners for him to have plenty of energy. They go from 9am-4:30 then back again from 6:30-9pm. So, it will be some long days for him. Craig is going to help with the evening session Tus, Wed and Thurs, then they will have a pool party on Friday evening in leiu of their practice, so it should be fun.

I have lost three of my six pounds I put on while on vacation and working hard to eat right and drink my water. They are widening our road and with dump trucks going up and down all day I have not gone walking in a while. Then in the evening it seem to be raining this week, so hopefully I can get back to it soon.

I have a chicken in the oven for dinner tonight, then I think we will do a chocolate fondue with some of that fruit and angel food cake I bought today. I will try to concentrate more on the fruit! I thought it sounded good for a stormy evening at home.

Bob= Hope you get to feeling better and staying better soon!

Monet- Hope you enjoyed your hike before the rain hit!

Tech- Sean had a horrible band director in middle school who was extremely unorganized and did not communicate with us! We would get concert details maybe a day or two in advanced, what to wear, what time to be there etc. Sean basically hated it, but we have a bargain now that he will try high school marching band for one year, then if he still does not enjoy it, he can quit. We'll see what happens! The high school director already has a pool party planned and a trip to the drum corps international competition in ATL. Is this guy fun or what! I just hope he gives it a chance and does not just decide not to like it. Ya know what I mean?

Heart, Country, Toni, everyone else-Have a great, relaxing, OP weekend!

Good Morning! Its another lazy day at Chez Monet here in HOTlanta... We will probably hang out in the pool at least part of the day. I will do my water jogging, and Tom will work on his sun tan. Not sure what else is on the agenda....probably some video game time, and some reading.

Breakfast was plain low fat yogurt with a peach, and some oat squares mixed in. And of course espresso.

No word from Talitha, or Travis yet....I may try and call her today.

Keep cool, everyone!

Just a lazy day in hot hillbilly land. Had two softboiled eggs and a half an english muffin (whole wheat of course). Think we'll watch a cowboy movie later on.

We went out for the day, to visit and new great nephew, and to get started on back to school shopping. Whew! I think that's what everyone else at Target was doing too. The kids both got a new book bag and I got a new purse as the straps are about to fall off of mine.
I am going to go through Rachel's clothes with her this evening and see what she can still fit into, and what we need to get. When we went to the cardiologist in June she had gained 10 lbs. in three months . He seemed to think that it was hormone/puberty related and told us to just "be careful". I think she is wanting to add another dance class this year and I will let her do it for the increased exercise, as long as the grades stay up. It is a combination hiphop/ballet class, if you can imagine that! The teacher is in her early twenties and the girls just have fun with it. It is very interesting to see beautiful tutus doing ballet steps and then break into a hip hop move! After you pay for five hours a month, you are not charged for more no matter how many classes you take. She already has the shoes necessary, so it will be just paying for one more costume (and gas to get there! )

OK! Just a quick update...think twice before going through a preteen girls clothes with her! By the time we were through she was a bawling mess! "I'm fat!" and "Nothing fits me anymore!" I felt so bad for her . Her hips and thighs are rounding out, so shorts and pants are too tight. Also, shirts are becoming too short. Plus, the ten pounds gained did nothing for her either. She still has plenty of shirts that fit and a couple of pairs of shorts that are not too short for school dress code. I think after calming down a bit and explaining to her that we do not mind buying clothes for her when she grows, she feels somewhat better and excited about shopping this week . I'm hoping that with me doing better on the grocery shopping and fixing more "legal" meals again, she and I will both feel better. I think I will hold on to the pants and see what happens to her body between now and when we actually need pants. I don't think there's much hope for the hormones oozing out though!

Oh boy the week end is almost over. We're going to grill burgers and I think I might roast some asparagus to go with them. I've done so well on eating but had to much wine. I'm so mad at myself. Guess I'll just weigh in, in the morning and get it over with. The one good thing is my DH dug out my old treadmill and I'm going to start walking on it tomorrow morning. Better go the pup is trying his best to get a ball under my computer and its making me crazy.

Evening everyone! I spent a good bit of the day outside by the pool. I am a bit sunburned, but not too red. I finished my novel and did 15 minutes of water aerobics. I ought to do more, but I am feeling lazy! We just finished dinner...I did not get it together to eat before we left for church.

This next week starts about a month of intense activities around here...and I am NOT looking forward to it. There is a party at the church I am in charge of next Saturday, a wedding the following weekend...and then I have to be at Teacher Inservice on August 9! School starts August 14. I still don't have my contract, and I feel very insecure about that. I am suspicious as to why they are waiting until the last minute to give it to me...I am afraid I am going to be losing my planning period, and not being compensated for prep time at home to replace it. We shall see...

TONI: Good for you getting out the treadmill! It is so good for you...I may be inspired to get mine to where I can use it too. It is down in the den, and not situated well....I would rather have it in my room, but that means removing the recliner that is more often a clothes basket....

Off to get some stuff done!
