Name (Nickname): Andrea/DRE

Age:31

M or F: Female

Weight/ Goal Weight: 165/135

Height:5'4"

Family: Married for 6 years to a wonderful man. Okay he wasn't always wonderful....during pregnancy he was rather mean about the way I looked. I wasn't attractive, I was gaining too much weight etc. etc but now it's all good ( I really think he is just turned off by pregnant women). We have two little girls, kaitlyn 6 and cameron 4. No pets but would love to adopt a dog.

Personal Info you would like to share: In High School I was always a tiny bit heavier (10 pounds) went away to college after high school and gained the freshman 30 until one day I woke up and decided I wanted to be thin. I lost weight so fast and looked GREAT, I even kept it off for 4 years..... Oh to have the metabolism of a 20 year old again. Then I got pregnant. Went from 125 to 190. Got back down to 145 and got pregnant again. Now I am stuck at 165 with a closet full of skinny clothes. My goal is to fit in them again...too many expensive outfits to just throw away because I have no self control.

Biggest Weakness in the Weight Loss Journey: Boredom. I am always so bored I don't know what to do with myself so I eat, and eat, and eat. Besides that I have no self discipline. I never stick to anything, but after 4 years of moaning about this I just have to either except myself the way I am (which will never happen) or get off my butt and do something.

What do you hope to Gain from this Book: Knowledge and strength!

***quitters never win and winners never quit!***

Name (Nickname): Barbara (or Barb)

Age: 23

M or F: F

Weight/ Goal Weight: (was 202) now 150 with a goal of 130-135ish (wherever I find myself comfortable!)

Height: 5'3

Family: single, living alone. I have wonderful parents and two brothers and two sisters who I love dearly. Last August, I also became an aunt! My nephew is my new favorite person.

Personal Info you would like to share: I was always a healthy weight through high school, but a terrible body image led to my belief that I was absolutely revolting. In my last year of high schoool, I gained 15 pounds, and another 57 pounds added up over the three years that followed. Two years ago, after seeing a terrible picture of myself, taken while I was home for Christmas, I decided I needed to do something. I lost 20 pounds very quickly and unhealthily by crash dieting. Then, I joined Jenny Craig and lost an additional 30 pounds in four and a half months. Realizing that this program was not actually addressing the emotional aspect of my tendencies to binge and overeat, I decided to stop putting my money into something that was no longer working. In the year after I went off the Jenny Craig program, I regained and lost the same 10 pounds numerous times. I found myself very unmotivated to actually address my weight problem with a healthy mindset. After picking up Dr Phil's book, however, I feel I have the know-how, the tools and the common-sense approach to truly address my problem once and for all!

Biggest Weakness in the Weight Loss Journey: emotional eating (out of boredom, loneliness and stress)... specifically, ice cream and chocolate! Also, addressing memories of childhood bullies and more recent tactless people who judged me by my physical appearance has been important. Addressing my own doubts about my abilities to overcome these challenges is something else I'm working through, as well.

M or F: Female

Weight/ Goal Weight: 230/140

Height:5'3"

Family: Married in June 2004, have a 6 week old baby boy and no pets.

Personal Info you would like to share: My overeating started when I was 7 years old after a few incidents of sexual abuse, and I haven't stopped eating since! My husband is my ULTIMATE support person, although he does forget occassionally and brings me home 'suprises' which consist of chocolate and icecream... I'm trying to lose weight in order to be able to keep up with my son when he's older and also so I can enjoy life more. I'm currently halfway through my Bachelor of Business program at University, and hope to look and feel the way I want when I finish so I can have the confidence to go and get the job I want.

Biggest Weakness in the Weight Loss Journey: When I can't eat when I'm hungry, when I do get around food I tend to grab anything and everything in sight!

What do you hope to Gain from this Book: Tools and strategies for everyday life that can help me on my journey to achieving my weight goal.
