Hi everyone! It's a beautiful day here in FL, although perhaps a bit too hot (as usual) This week has been one of those unproductive weeks where I hardly get anything done. DH's accident on Monday, being at the hospital all night, catching up on sleep, running errands. School kind of went by the wayside, as did eating on program! I'm trying to take some of today to get myself back on track. I desperately need to go grocery shopping...STAT!

Beachbum ~ So happy to hear the good news about your husband. I will continue to pray for his recovery.

Ruth ~ Get that water in! I know you can do it.

JanaM ~ I hope you enjoyed your lunch tdoay!

Cottage ~ Good luck getting back on track. I am definitely in the same boat!

Kiko ~ Hi! I hope you have a great day!

Pearshape ~ Retail therapy is the best, isn't it? I have been craving that for a while but the bank account says NO I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Chipper ~ I hope your new arrival's ummm...transformation goes without any complications!

Debbie ~ I hope the class goes well and that you're able to get to the grocery store soon! I couldn't have resisted that pie myself

Colby ~ I hope you have fun out in the garden today! I'm glad you're having nice weather.

Sarahslacker ~ I have been wanting to try that Taco Bake forever. I need to get the stuff to make that. I am going shopping next couple of days, so maybe I'll try it. I hope you have a nice date tonight!

Schatzi ~ Those veggie kebabs sound yummy!

Barb ~ I hope you have a fun camping weekend.

Jazztap ~ Hi! I hope you have a great afternoon!

Hello Everyone! I hope everyone is having a lovely day! I have gotten so many things accomplished this week since school is on "Easter Break" so I'm feeling pretty good about myself. I only have one more big project to do before it's time for me to get out of here, and I can work on that this afternoon and tomorrow. The rest of my time here should be a piece of cake!

I have to drive to Decatur tonight to go to a wake. My dad is chief meteorologist at the TV station there, so I'm going to drive over, sit on the set for the news, and then we're going to the visitation. I have a feeling he'll be taking me to dinner afterwards. Hopefully it's something semi-healthy. Sigh. I do so well during the day. We'll see what happens. At least I should have time for my exercise bike tonight once I get home.

Ruthie, DRINK YOUR WATER!!! I often try to imagine what it would be like to sit on your back deck, surrounded by nature, first thing in the morning. I'm sure it's just lovely. I want a back deck with nature around it.

Jana, line dancing! That sounds like a lot of fun! I know 3 line dances, I think. One of them is country and I don't know what it's called, one is the Electric Slide, and one is that danged Cha-cha Slide that gets stuck in your head and you can't get it out. Enjoy yourself tonight!

Cottage, way to get yourself organized! I'm working on doing the same thing. I got all my laundry done on Monday and have gone through my fall/winter and spring/summer clothes. I just need to have a garage ("Garbage") sale and get rid of all the crap that I don't wear/use anymore. Congrats on making those first steps!

Hi Kiko! Try to keep busy, you slacker!

Pear, my DH is definitely the meat and potato, t-shirt and jeans guy. Sometimes I can get him to wear a nice turtleneck or sweater in the winter time, but there's no dressing him nice in the summer. I'll try to talk him into getting some polos for our trip to Key West, but we'll see. Sounds like you had a great time shopping! Saturday, I'm going to get some shoes and more summer clothes myself.

Chipper, have fun at the vet.... poor little animal. Just kidding, both my parents' dogs are "its" now. They just got fat after it happened.

Debbie, it's ok. One piece of pie won't kill you. It's good that you recognize that it was a BAD, BAD, BAD thing to do and you won't do it again.

Colby, have a great day in the nice weather!

Beach Bum, have a nice walk!

Sarah, good for you not weighing yourself! It'll be such a nice surprise! Keep up the good work!

Schnatzo, want to clean up my crack house too? I just need to find the time to be in my crack house for more than a few minutes here and there. Enjoy your day!

Barb, have fun camping! I love camping except that on Day 2, I always sneeze my head off and drip like crazy. It only gets worse as I get older. Last time I went, I scared all the fish away. Good luck with volleyball!

Jazz, glad you got a good work out in! Have a great day!

Crk, I'll take "too hot" in Florida any day. We choose to go to Key West in June on purpose. I LOVE it! I don't care if I'm sweaty! I'm in FLORIDA! Of course here it's 73 and cloudy. Last summer it was in the upper 80s/90s all summer long and I was CRAZY about it! Best summer we'd had in a long time! Enjoy it!

MsCrockett, have a great day!

Talk to you all soon!

Boy, this day sure turned out a whole lot different than I expected. I'm counting my blessings, but it's been an absolutely horrible day. I did get to go to lunch with my friend, so that was the only good part.

We had a big round of layoffs today at work, which took everyone by surprise. My boss didn't even know who was going to "get it" until this morning. We lost about 20 people out of our building, including 3 people on my aisle (1 across from me and 1 next to me) and one more that was on my team that was in the next aisle. It was the hardest thing watching everyone pack up their cubes.

But wait, it gets better! On the way home, my car overheats. Looks like I'm going to need a new radiator, but we'll see what they say tomorrow.

Like I said, I'm trying to look on the bright side. I still have my job. And, I noticed the radiator problem early enough and was able to get to the mechanic's shop before the car completely shut down and before the shop closed. They were even nice enough to give me a ride home.

Now I need to call my boss. There's a lady that I work with that lives close and I can get a ride into work with her tomorrow.....if she still has a job, that is. I didn't hear if she got laid off or not - so, I need to call my boss and see if he knows. I sure don't want to call her for a ride to work if she doesn't have a job anymore!!!!

Oy! I'm wound so tight right now....I'm hoping that I can unwind soon. Hope everyone has a nice, peaceful, relaxing evening.

We are back from the vet. Everything went fine. He's sleeping in my chair right now. Still a little groggy. He won't go up the stairs, so guess he'll have to hitch a ride up at bedtime. We live in a tri-level, so you go up 4 steps(from the livingroom) to the kitchen and dinning room and then 10 steps up to the master. The living room and 2 bedrooms and bath are on the lower level. So, that is where he has been staying. I have very tall ceilings 18+ feet in the living room. So, this weekend we are getting the wood to start the loft. It will come right off the master, this is going to be my gym. I can't wait to get all my gym equipment in one room, right now it's spread out. Then maybe I'll use it. LOL. Well, time to get jammies on and rest for the night.
I have good evening all.
