Today, or should I say yesterday was funny Friday so here goes!!
After retiring, I went to the social security office to apply for Social Security.
The woman behind the counter asked me for my driver's license to verify my age.
I looked in my pockets and realized I had left my wallet at home.
I told the woman that I was very sorry but I seemed to have left my wallet at Home "I will have to go home and come back later."
The woman says, "Unbutton your shirt."
So I opened my shirt revealing my curly silver hair.
She says, "That silver hair on your chest is proof enough for me" and she processed my Social Security application.
When I got home, I told my wife about my experience at the social security office.
She says, "You should have dropped your pants.
You might have gotten disability too.
She was in the kitchen doing the boiled eggs for breakfast.
He walks in.
She says, "You've got to make love to me -- this very moment."
He thinks, 'This is my lucky day,' and gives it his all on the kitchen table.
He says afterwards, "What was that all about?"
She says, "The egg timer's broken."
My shoulder is beter, really sore, but better. I tok a lot pf griff today, but it was all in good fun.

GUESS WHO'S STILL UP?????? YEP....HAVEN'T BEEN TO BED!!!! Did fall asleep in my chair for a few nods, but I've already had my coffee and I'm ready to go!
Yesterday turned out to be really bad. I went to get my records from my old doctor, and the lady in the office was such a witch! I ended up telling her off and walking out without my records. (she was going to charge me a huge fee for them!) I came home and really wanted to vent, so I called my dearly beloved, who cut me off in mid sentence as he had to go back to a class at work. Then my daughter had a friend coming over and was on the phone with her giving her directions, as she drove. So I tried calling a friend of mine who uses the same doctor I had just walked out of the office of...but she was not home. I was feeling pretty irritated by now. I ended up going out with my daughter and her friend to hang out at the wi-fi place, and drink tea. I got a salad and some soup there. Then we came home and I fixed the traditional corned beef, cabbage and taters in the pressure cooker. After a half way decent night's sleep, I am feeling somewhat better. I don't know what I will say to the NEW doctor, as they made SUCH a point of bringing your records. I think I will explain that there would be no charge if HE requested them. Grrr.
Tom is downstairs making espresso, so I think I will go help.
Monet: I"ve heard that before with medical records. What I heard it they charge you per page to copy them. I think, though, that if the new doctor requests them that they are free, like you said. Call the new doctor's office on Monday and see if they'll comply. The whole medical profession can be SO outrageous to deal with.
I started out doing SO well yesterday and then my hubby requested beef stroganoff and I said, 'whats a few tiny egg noodles gonna do?'...and then I took Shelley to a school dance sort of thing and she came up to me with a bag of skittles and asked me to hold on to them for her. Skittles are my profound weakness. There were NONE left when she came back.
