Sounds like a great workout Liz. WTG.
I didn't get in my c-5k workout last night like planned. Jeff had to fix his motorcycle and by the time he got home and could watch the kids I couldn't convince myself to get my nose out of my book and outside in the cold.
I'm planning to walk during survivor and possibly do the c-5k while the kids are eating. we'll see on that though.

Liz, isn't that pain just great! That elliptical is a killer in my opinion. Dawnyal, I hate it when I plan on something and other stuff gets in the way. Can't stand to exercise outside in the cold either--don't know how people do that.

Sad to say that I had a nasty virus yesterday and so did absolutely nothing. My mind said yes, but my body just wouldn't follow through. Today I'll probably do an abbreviated workout since I'm not 100%--but much better than yesterday.

November 17
35 min. weight lifting
40 min. treadmill (jogging/walking combo)
10 min. abs & stretching

Decided to go for it, and did okay. Feel pretty good right now. Zicam is great stuff!

Sheila - you definitely want your body to heal! Hope you are back too 100% soon!

I did 2 miles WATP (which I believe you sent me Sheila?), I didn't really enjoy exercising... well I can't say that. I got on the scale, and I just feel like crying, I am eating whole foods, lots of fruits and veggies, drinking more water than normal (but not retaining), and it just doesn't fricking BUDGE! I'm watching those calories, fat grams, exercising... I thought maybe it was muscle gain, but everything still FEELS tight. I'm just frustrated.. Thanks for listening to me rant..

Well, I feel good. Just finished doing a half hour of cardio, would have done more but I have to leave the house soon and I got in some walking this morning so I don't feel bad about it. It feels good to be moving.

November 18

40 min. hydrofit

Meant to do more exercise, but life got in the way. That's okay, though! Maybe it'll keep my body guessing.

November 19

30 min. evil elliptical
30 min. walk/jog combo on the treadmill
30 min. weight lifting
10 min. stretching and abs

November 20

1 hr. walking

I went last night and did 10 mins on the elliptical, 5 miles on the bike, 7 mins on the arc trainer and upper body (push and pull) 3 reps of 10 each

gained .6 this week?

Gonna try to go tonight too.

Liz, if you're just adding weight training and increasing your exercise, you might not see a difference in your weight in several weeks. Don't let it make you give up!! I've been sitting at around the same weight for a while, but my body is changing for the better. I can see it in the fit of my clothing, and everybody keeps asking me if I've lost weight. It's a bit disconcerting for me to get on the scale (and you might not want to for a while), but I'm confident something will give soon. So hang in there and don't let it get you down, okay?
