imthegoddess, and to the thread If you don't mind sharing, what plan are you following?
akelly, didn't realize this was me until you put it in print --> Lose accountability, make excuses, and just plain give up the battle. oh my goodness so true --> Lots of us have found when we check in and chat regularly, we stay consistent and on track. Once we stop checking in, that weird little virtual accountability is gone and we veer off track! ... On the mirror pictures I have yet to take one that I like, but I like everyone elses they show too much of what I don't see when I look in the mirror in the photo
I use mfp on my iphone to track/log calories and it is also interfaced with the sworkit app and also my fitbit for exercise and steps. So it is a trifecta of support devices.
I have had all this technology for a couple of months. But now I am putting all my business out on the interwebs so I really have to get serious.
I'm newer to this group but have been working on this weight loss since Thanksgiving. Daily weighing is not good for my mind but I am in for weekly weighing.

Thank you for the welcome, and I don't mind at all. I am beginning beyond diet at beyonddiet.com It is basically eating non processed, organic, range fed, cage free, no added hormones etc. I feel it is more of a different way of eating than a diet, but you are suppose to lose weight. I just started the program today, and I am doing the 14 day supermeals plan. The 14 day plan is very low on carbs, but the plan is not carb free. They don't have a very good forum, and that's why I am here.
I used to be a member here, but I don't know what that log on is.
I lost 80 pounds twice on Jenny Craig, but as soon as I stopped eating her prepackaged meals, and stopped working out, I gained it all back. I'm hoping this will work for me.
Molly, you are definitely off to a great start, GO YOU I bought a Sync Burn on sale at Walmart. It logs some great steps but I can't get the watch to sync with the phone so it won't show up on MFP I'll have to remember to log my steps on my own.
TOdgen3, ... you can weigh in however you like . We use to live near Landmark, then moved near Potomac Mills from there we moved near Quantico before moving down here. I miss living up there.
imthegoodess, I'm doing something similar. But not the organic, range free, cage free items. I'll have to look at the site for menu ideas. No breads, rice or pasta help me drop weight for sure. I'm sure you'll get great results on your plan.

Let's hope so. I see you were in VA. I grew up in Chesapeake. I married a Navy Man and moved from there when I was 25.

I'm originally from Pittsburgh but when I first relocated here I was off Beauregard and Seminary now I live next to Ft. Belvoir. Virginia is nice a little too busy/hustle & bustle for me though.
Thanks for the encouragement. Reading the posts I see many different diet plans -some I have done in the past, and while I worked the program the program worked for me-and some I never heard of.
Bottom line is we are all concerned with our bottom--becoming healthy and fit. How great is that?
akelly- NS should REALLY help with our budget, idk if I said this earlier but I ran a money tracker thing on our bank account and we were spending close to $1000 a month eating out PLUS groceries. NS will be $600 a month plus limited groceries.
Molly- I LOVE mfp, I have been using it for years and it rocks
Yesterday was day one on NS. The food is pretty good, I was pleasantly surprised. I had to add some seasoning to my noodles for dinner but if that's the only problem I can see being content with it. The proper serving size thing will take getting used to, but that would be the same shock to the body with any diet. Non-starchy veggies are unlimited so that will help.
My husband is struggling. He has a horrible headache. I am not sure if it is because their fast 5 program for week 1 only has about 1000 calories (which kinda bugs me with how much I know about metabolism, but it is only for 1 week so meh) or because his water intake is way up and his sodium intake is way down so his electrolytes might be getting knocked out of balance as he is running to the bathroom to pee every 20ish minutes. I told him to feel free to follow the plan as if it was the second week on, but he is determined to see if his body gets used to it. I am proud of him for that but it makes me feel bad I can't make him feel better. We have G2 Gatorade so I am encouraging him to drink that in case it is an electrolyte imbalance.
I might go out later and get some beef or chicken broth as that is what is advised for sodium imbalance when starting low carb diets. Anyone have other ideas?
