I'm going to see the in-laws in about 10 days and some of them have not seen me since my high weight of around 270lbs in 2008. I'd like to impress them with finally dropping back under 200lbs by the time I fly out.

That I now officially have less than a year before I turn 30, and I have a long way to go to make sure I'm at my healthiest weight before hitting such a big and scary milestone. If I can enter my 30's fit, healthy, and happy...that will be the best birthday present I could ever give to myself. And, to do that in time, I need to keep at it NOW. On a slightly more shallow note, I would like to say that - at least for a little bit - I was thin while I was still in my 20's. I've spent this whole segment of my life either overweight or obese. I regret that now, but I still have some time to change the ending to this chapter of life!

Because for the first time in so so so long I am closer to 200 than 300. I would love to be closer to 150 than 200, too!
