Good Morning!!

Thank you Steph, Domlacha and Diana! Steph, I agree...BMI is just a number but it's nice to have it in the "normal range"!!!!

Steph - Yay on the new clothes!! That's a great feeling Sometimes we all have days where we're just plain hungry!! It's ok to eat a little more some days but I know how you're feeling about the aftermath....

Karmich - I have a vacation coming up soon too, which actually started this whole weight loss journey for me 6 months ago! I'm trying to plan meals (as much as I can) and look up restaurants where we will be. I'm even taking my own protein powder, bars and some raw nuts for snacks/meals. My problem is that a sort of frenzy begins when I go off slightly and it makes me want to eat constantly and eat junk all the time! Those were the bad old days.....

Diana, Have a great weekend, too! It will be hot here

Weighed in at 158 again today. Hoping for 157 for tomorrow for a 3 pound weight loss this week and a total of 65 pounds!!

Have a great day and stay strong ladies!

Oh, I meant to say something more - the other day Diana mentioned that, like me, it had taken her upwards of 3 years to complete the weight-loss phase of her process.

Thanks for that, Diana. Even though I have internalized a certain amount of patience - I had to give up the idea of the weight melting off week after week a long time ago - it's good to get first-hand testimony from other people who have had a very long haul at this.

At any rate - even though I wouldn't mind dropping another 10 or so (I really have no idea), I have to say this: I love my new body. I mean, I love it. I'm constantly admiring myself vainly and feeling myself up! I really can't believe what I look like. I have all these "wow, my arms look like that? my thighs look like that? I have hipbones?" moments.

So yeah, it's been three years and it's hard work and sometimes I whine about it and even feel sorry for myself. But wow, it's worth it.

everybody..

Hay Laura You're Normal Awesome job you're doing great

Hay Diana Been thinking/praying for you a lot while i wasn't posting much since I've back away from the scale some, concentrating on what/when i eat more.Plus..I've been busier more now it seems I've got all this energy,don't/can't sit still it seems Thank you

Man... your meal sounded good Domlacha glad you guys had a good time. That's something when people make those calorie dense foods for ya and you don't want to act funny and not eat them Hope the scale is kind whatever..most of it is sodium and will be gone soon. Thank you

You're a woman on the move Angie enjoy yourself,do the best you can and you know how(and will) to deal with the after effects Thanks for starting the new thread

Glad the clothes fitted Steph Hope you're having/had a great day.I think we all have those days where our eating seems out of control but you recognize them, handling them, make adjustments and have really changed your way of eating for life..awesome job Thank you and Thank you for asking Lost power a couple of days but thankfully everything is fine.

Great WI Karmich get mentally psych up for your trip say to yourself I'm not going on my trip to just eat. I had to stop letting food be the center of where I am (my life).Enjoy the conversations of the people I'm with, exploring different areas(if out of town) and always looking for something healthy and sustainable to eat.You have a great plan already and I'm sure you'll do great

Carter, funny how when we see the scale go up.. like we get a kick in the pants, get mad and straighten up ..you're back in the zone, most of which is water, finding where you want to be, you like yourself.. which is the most important thing to me,Have done an awesome job and anything else you lose(more tone you get) will only be an added plus.
This December will be 3 years for me too.I'm at the point of focusing on where i can sustain my weight.I'm sure I'll bottom out eventually..I just always have a mindset of as if I'm trying to lose weight..which seems to help me not want to eat everything i see and recognizing when I'm full, something i struggle with

As for me.. 150.2 today.Sodium got me.Very happy that fluctuations don't bother me any more.. knowing I was on plan.Just keep developing(making) this new lifestyle.

Have a great Day/Evening Everyone

Carter, your post made me laugh - I too am constantly feeling myself up. I'm amazed at my rib cage (it's 32 inches!) and hip bones. I just bought some seat pads for my dining room chairs because I realized how uncomfortable they are for people without their own built-in padding.

Ona, I hear ya on keeping the "losing" mind set. I'm more comfortable trying to lose and settling for maintaining than just trying to maintain, if that makes any sense. And I really should lose another 15-20 pounds anyway.

I weighed in a bit under 139 this morning!

I know Steph. It's like if I don't keep the mindset of as if I'm trying to lose..I'm afraid I'd get too comfortable and won't push to exercise and watch what i eat so intensely any more..even though i know I'll always have to watch what i eat.The only thing that seems to be getting harder to do is pushing to go to the gym.I guess since I've had a lot going on this month it's been hard.Do plan on going in the morning though but I'll always jog and walk.15 -20 lbs..you'll have that off before winter at the rate you're going You have a fast metabolism

Good Morning, Everyone! I hope you have a fantastic weekend!

I am totally feeling like a beached whale, this morning! We ate at the cafeteria, last night, where I always have a reaction (sodium/MSG ). DH was tired of eating at the same places and wanted something different. Different is not good for me. Oh well! I even ate an extra serving of veggies. I love the taste of their food, but it doesn't "love" me.

Calories for yesterday: 1570 +
Weigh In: 148.2 (TTOM )
Up: 1 pound

Folks, I lost it last night. It got to me, this stuff that's going on, I had a really hard day and in the evening I really binged in ice cream and salty snacks. I haven't had a binge like that in well over a month. I just lost it.

Of course the resulting bloat has erased all my progress for the month - I am back over 160!

I have a fridge stocked with on-plan foods and will do some cooking later. The ice cream and the Indian hot mix are gone so there won't be any more problems with that (I just have to tell myself "no!" when I am tempted to buy more). I don't normally follow a binge with a super-restricted day - I don't like to invite the binge-starve cycle - but I am genuinely not hungry right now so I'm going to hold off on eating anything until I am, and then ease back in with a very light meal.

What a way to end a really $hitty month. I hope you all have a very good day! Good luck and good strength.

Hey everyone ! Well I did not lose the 6 lbs I was hoping for this month but I am down 1.6 pounds. I'll take it! I think next month I'll shoot for 4lbs. I hope to see you all on the July weigh-in thread.

Carter, I am sending you strength. You have a great plan to get back on track and hopefully most of that weight you saw on the scale will go away in a couple of days.

Diana, Its hard when food taste so good to always be mindful of the reactions our bodies may have to it. Good luck on getting yours back under control.

Great job Texan and Alsten !

Ona-the meal was so delicious! However, I'm glad we don't do it all the time. I was so sluggish after that!

Take care everyone!

Hi everybody,

I weighed in under 140 again this morning, which was a surprise since I ate quite a bit at my friend's wedding last night. And I had a friend over for dinner tonight and splurged on the bread she brought, as well as some home-made ice cream I had left over from last weekend, so tomorrow's weigh in will be ugly. But I'm feeling good and I'm not going to let it knock me off track.

I saw some people last night I hadn't seen in a while and got a lot of "You look great" which is nice, but I feel like I should tell them what Diana has in her sig: now the hard part begins! It's not like I've won the lottery and am set for life, this is where the rubber meets the road.

Here's hoping we all have a strong July!

Don't forget that you can do it. You have been doing this all along. There's no difference. When the going get's tough, take it one day, or even one meal at a time. Don't get overwhelmed about the whole rest of your life thing (leave that to me ).
