Jami - What magic do you possess that allows you to have 2 ticker factory tickers and get them to show up side by side instead of one on top of the other? I have done everything within my power to make this happen and it just won't.

That's telling'em Diana,we've worked/are working too hard for any foolishness from Restaurant and Deli people

No exercise this morning or last night which results in no WI today.Worked really hard for that 176.0 yesterday and going with that as my September start weigh.

Default Angie Angie Angie ....

Angie I knew I would have a gain when I woke up this morning. The weird thing is I could post a loss on the Thanksgiving Challenge down .8 from last Thursday, so that looked pretty . But on here I am up 2lbs. Wanna know why???? because while I was posting I think I was eating a piece of fried chicken my son made (ended up being 2.5 tenderloins, not a wing fan) Then they all went upstairs except for the two oldest. I decided I would clean up the mess down here before I blew a head gasket didn't want to look at the long faces, not in the mood . So while I was doing that and before I started I ate 12 ginger snaps, possibly more, the edges off the pound cake (the middle is too soft, I like the darker parts), 4 animal crackers, and I can't remember what else, I also had 40ozs of water and a grapefruit. So there is my confession of mess that I consumed late last evening.

I am two pounds to 173.4. I was probably more but I got up at 10: something. So today and tomorrow I am back on the Attack phase. I may stay on all weekend to be safe.

Oh Rennie, I'm sorry you had such a tough time last evening. Good for you on getting that 40 oz of water in there though! Right back on track now though, k girl?

Kristi -- Welcome back!

Ona

Roxy -- for your new low!! I'm going to a movie tonight with an old friend, I know she won't even blink if I bring my own popcorn; she is so supportive of my weight loss. I did have 2 TF tickers, I just chose the small size to get them next to each other.

Rennie -- Okay, well, we both messed up yesterday and had a gain...it will go. I'm back on track today; how are you doing? I may go to my aunt's place this weekend, but that's okay, I do the cooking when we are there, so I should do fine.

Well I did it again deleted everything

Maybe I'm typing something I'm not supposed to type and the computer erases it I obviously haven't learned my lesson yet

Kukkie sorry about the gain this morning Hoping tomorrow is better Thanks Kukkie, yes Ma'am I am back on track today

Beck good job on the 10.2lb lost for the month and on the .4 down today

Hi susie

Diana good job on the 1.6lbs gone ... bye bye sodium/MSG

crainjo good whoosh 3.2lbs gone, good job on the run

Aimee I sure hope so, I am up 2lbs from yesterday, so I took lot of sodium in (and I could taste it but kept on going), but today is a new day to make a difference and make myself happy in the a.m. My hubby dresses up everyday, I love the look so handsome, makes me wanna keep him in the house I think TOM is early this month also, and it had the nerve to bring baggage (thanking Angie that I am noticing )

Angie I am with you on these same numbers, but I know why I haven't gotten rid of them, gotta blame my eyes and hands for acting like children, wanting everything they see and actually getting it (shaking my head). I sure hope that September is a more OP month than last month. I would love to lose 1.4lbs a week, now that is something to look forward to. Oh and I had an entire bag of microwave popcorn with my junk eating Now I think I know what got me started. I went food shopping and there is nothing that I could grab to eat light right now, I had ham and turkey at home so I didn't want to buy more. The kids got a dozen doughnuts and I was standing in the checkout line and picked up a 3 Musketeers. I haven't had one of those in forever. That chocolate taste stayed with me forever it seemed. Then I made my chili, and taco meat ... ate that and I was fine, but the snack monster slapped me a 10pm and it was all down hill. Confession over : .... Onto today I am okay food wise so far. I have my food all planned out on MFP. I ate my yogurt, my oat bran and 2 cups of skim milk. Lunch is 2 eggs, ham or turkey and salmon or tuna, Dinner is London broil and chicken breast, today would be a typical PP day but when on Attack it's alwasy PP. I need to be more disciplined for PV days I think.

Vladadog good to see you

KRISTI hiiiiiiiiii, good to see you back. I did the same thing and gained about 15lbs and I'm trying to get back to my low from last year. We can do it

Matilda, well said .... I WANT TO LOSE NOT GAIN .... I CAN'T LET ALL OF MY HARD WORK GO TO WASTE .... I need to speak this daily. We can do it

LGW .2 isn't bad at all with such a delicious meal and dessert. A relaxed mind is better than a chaotic mind, so keep that vacation feeling of pleasantries

Ona you go girl, that is what I should have done also then I wouldn't feel so bad today. I feel bad that I can never start a month off with at least a .2 down from the previous day (shaking my head).

Hi Precious, I like YOUR goal

Roxy take it Lady it is yours Ona uses the squeeze kind also. I love the pulp that you get with the real lemons and I have never bought real limes. I thought you were a vegetarian also I'll have to look up the other things I can do with it. I like that it is versatile, thanks for the tips. It worked wonders on the chili for me and no gas is a definite blessing Roxy try almost a year of the 170's oh my goodness enough already.

Vixsin sounds like how my day turned out yesterday. My day is also planned out on MFP and I plan to eat that tomorrow also. Here's to good eating

Miranda I am quite annoyed also, but we can't allow the scale to control our mood. Vent on here and let's move on

I'm down 0.5 to 253.3 this morning. I completed week 3 of the BFC and am feeling good about everything going on there. I am definitely toning and can feel myself getting stronger. LOVE IT! I haven't technically "lost" any weight based on the weekly WIs at the gym but I'm finally recovering from my crazy "Let's just stay in the 250's" phase AND those gym WIs are at 6pm so who the **** knows. All I know is that I'm working my *** off...and hopefully that will become a literal description sooner rather than later.

Tomorrow's my official WI and I am so relieved that I will FINALLY get to move my ticker down though still not completely back to my all time low from earlier this month. I'm close though and I can taste victory!

On a side note, I am SO exhausted this morning! I had the worst headache when I got home from the gym last night. And because of that, I COULD NOT get comfortable enough to fall asleep. Then, once I FINALLY dozed off, my little guy woke up yelling that he had to go potty and I was so slow to wake up out of my fog, that we didn't make it. And THEN to top it all off, I got upset and hollered at him. I feel like such a jerk...actually makes me teary remembering his sad little face. He was already so upset at himself and then I make it worse 'cause I'm tired and grouchy. I REALLY can't wait to get home to hug/squeeze him and tell him I'm sorry...again even though I KNOW he will already have moved on and forgot all about it. Anyway, after that episode, I couldn't fall back to sleep for another few hours...so we're talking somewhere after midnight or so. Sheesh! I'm SO glad I'm taking tomorrow off!

Ona -- Thanks so much! I always appreciate your sincere cheerleading!

Aimee -- Wow! A size 12 huh? What size do you where in regular clothes. I'm definitely ok with investment clothing...especially if it lasts as well as you described. I'm not sure what size it'll be when I'm ready, but I definitely want to get a more comfortable and cool workout wardrobe. Congrats on your whoosh!! And YAY on the chili! That calorie count is great and there's NOTHING better than homemade chili!

Kukkie -- I'm so happy to hear that you enjoyed a fun and healthy day with your DH. And WOW, you're day today sounds CRAZY. Take care of yourself!

Kwigg -- Me and you girl! WE ARE SO HITTING THE 240'S THIS MONTH! Let's do it, okay? I am so FREAKING tired of these darn 250's! Funny...we lost almost the same weight in August too.

LGW -- You certainly are due and VERY deserving of a vacation! All those crazy hours you have to work. I like your idea of having an activity goal list for the time off. I'm due for a trip to our farmer's market as well. All your talk of fresh fruit and veggies has me drooling!

Rennie -- Workout was worse than ever...but in a good way, ya know? And yes, I definitely hit that jacuzzi afterwards. It's a must! Sorry to hear you had a tough time of it last night. Question for you...if you slip up on Dukan, so you start the phase all over or just continue on where you were?

Matilda -- You CAN do this. Just keep at it!

Roxy -- I'm glad I'm not the only one DYING to get to the next decade. I've seen ENOUGH of these! And yay having LESS than 50lbs to lose!!! Woo hoo! LOL about your ticker factory question. But...yours do show up next to each other when I see them. One is a little taller than the other but they are next to each other. Maybe I'm not understanding though?

Vixsin -- Mmmm...everything sounds so good and it doesn't sound like you did too bad. Good luck getting that assignment knocked out.

Miranda -- Sorry you're annoyed and having a not good day. It'll be over soon though hon and then you can start fresh! (And ditto what Rennie said. Vent away all you need here!)

Welcome back FitKristi and Vladadog! Welcome Precious!

August 31: 242.8
Sept. 1: 245.0

Who the heck knows what this morning's WI was all about?? My calories were a tad low yesterday (1358), my sodium was at 1750mg, I worked out for 40 minutes on the elliptical. I did weigh in about 3 hours earlier than usual, so that might be it. I weighed in again after breakfast, coffee, shower, Bible study, etc. and was at the same number. So, if I'd weighed in at my normal time I probably would have gotten a lower number. It is what it is.

No time for personals, I have an appointment in a few minutes. I hope you're all having a great day!

Angie - I hope you are able to bring yourself to take your own popcorn (and stick to eating it instead of the theater stuff) I tried making the tickers small, but that didn't work.

Rennie - I kinda did, I hit the 170s for the first time in September last year and got stuck then barely made it into the 160s before life sent me off plan and I slowly went back to the 190s and now I just got out of the 170s again in July. I vow to never see the 170s again! I'm really glad that your chili went well. Nope, I've never even considered going vegetarian. I have no issue with people who do, it's just very definitely not for me.

Jami - I am sure it will become very literal very soon. I am sorry about your night last night. The only reason my tickers are currently side by side is that one is a 3FC ticker. I wanted to change it to ticker factory to get decimals, but they won't go side by side when I try that.

Gale - It is almost certainly because you weighed in so early. It'll be better tomorrow.

I have just discovered while updating the 2011 challenge thread that I am down 30 pounds even for the year so far.

Jami good job on the .5 down this morning Glad you are getting toned and gaining strength. Your on your way to that body you are talking about You know now that you mentioned ticker. I lowed my ticker yesterday and guess what I have a gain today, that always happens also, I might just delete those all together, that's a thought. Aw Jami I have done that exact same thing for the exact same reason, and yes he has forgotten and moved on but you know what they remember that big squeeze we give them longer I believe. Makes both our hearts smile On Dukan you go back to the Attack phase when you have a gain that was caused by a slip. Clean out all the crappy carbs you took in with Pure Protein.

Gale you would have definitely got a lower number you go girl, subtract that 2.5-3lbs and jump for joy or just think tomorrow you'll be smiling like a Cheshire Cat

puneri 3 months and 16lbs is great ... not to step in for Diana but here are my stats for when I first started, and it was all counting calories and walking, faithfully ... and I mean faithfully, not like my knuckle head is doing now

June 2010: Beginning weight: 195.4; Ending weight: 183.2, Total loss for JUNE: -12.2lbs
July 2010: Beginning weight: 183.0, Ending weight 178.0, Total loss for JULY -5lbs
August 2010: Beginning weight 178.4 Ending weight 171.6, Total loss for AUGUST -6.8lbs

Roxy your tickers are fine the ladder is just wider that the rope I see someone loves pink I hope to get out of the 170's by mid September. I actually feel better now that I have put some descent food in my body, I don't feel lighter just a bit better Hope tomorrow is better for me on the 30lbs down, YOU GO GIRL

You know I was thinking about doing a few smoothy days = protein powder (gotta check the carbs out though), Greek yogurt, crystal light, ice and maybe a little skim, what do you all think? Can I do that for two meals and then maybe one meal of actual proteins. Does it not sound healthy? I know slim fast has that motto 2 shakes and a sensible dinner but I have heard people say that it's not healthy and though I have done slim fast, I have never been able to only drink to and eat one meal, my body would go berserk,

ok gotta run BBL

Gale -- Sorry about the crazy WI today. I've been living that reality for quite a while. A reality where my scale is bound and determined to drive me insane. It'll pass...I KNOW IT!

Roxy -- Oh ok. So for the tickers, I started by picking two that were roughly the same height. And then, in my signature, the url's are back to back with no space in between.

Rennie -- Thanks for the reminder about the lil' ones. I know he's over it but man my heart is hurting. Just need to get that squeeze in and relieve my conscience.

Jami- you totally keep me in check. I know I don't comment much but I always look at your journal from myfitnesspal and sometimes I think "but I don't want those ladies to see that I ate that much of that" and then put down the crap. I like seeing other people being successful because it makes it seem more like a reality for me than just a dream.

Today's weigh in:

July 31st ~ 262.4
August 31st ~ 256.6 (-5.6)

September:

Puneri Hi Thank you. You are correct, I didn't have any plateaus. The only thing that caused me a problem was my food allergy. The food allergy started last Summer. I would have an allergic reaction, go up a couple pounds and then it would come right back off. It would take a week to get though that. But no plateaus. In my opinion it is because I was very consistent and on plan 99.9% of the time. I rarely took any time off from working out. I still don't. The only time that I was off plan on my foods was Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, etc. While I was in weight loss mode, I think I even stayed in my calorie range for my Birthday. There was only a few days that I took off during the year and that was it. I was very consistent with everything I did, that had to do with my weight loss, the entire time.

I agree with Rennie 16 pounds is awesome! Keep up the great work! You don't have that much to lose. Sometimes it's more difficult when you weigh less.
