I lost weight well last month but the pattern was a whoosh and then several weeks of staying the same. I am hoping for another whoosh or two in December.

You know I'm in it to win it! LOL I had a measley 4 (well really 5 but whatever) pound loss this month and I am looking to double that this month to 8 lbs...or even more, I would really like a 10 lb. loss but we'll see, the name of the game this month? Consistency.

FOR EVERYONE WHO WONDERS WHY WE HAVE A NEW THREAD - this would be my answer . I was asked by the mods a couple of months ago to start a new thread mid month because we always go over 500 posts. So, that's what I do.

Thanks Cutie. I did realize something while I was out this evening, today was actually a big milestone for me. It's officially been 3 months since I quit smoking. That kind of helped me realize that I can do things when I put my mind to them.

Morning all
Still on track, still fighting
Had such a truly wonderful day yesterday. Everyone was so nice and so kind and so incredibly encouraging about the 100lbs lost. My DD went shopping and came home with the most stunning bracelet for me to mark the occasion. I was really incredibly moved and am crying now whilst typing. She is 14 and so truly amazing, such a beautiful individual inside and out. I also shared champagne with my BFF in the hot tub - totally awesome decadence, but deserved methinks ! I Vowed I would not weigh between yesterday and when we go away for Christmas next wednesday. (I didn't want to leave for the holidays feeling the slump I get when the scale says +0.4 or whatever- there has to be a bounce back after the ridiculous weightloss I have had this week)
However I woke this morning to the clarity that the reason I have lost the 100 in 8 months is exactly the daily weighing. It has kept me on the straight and narrow and made me do this.There are very clear trends and patterns that I now don't understand but I recognize and accept.
So weight for today ........197.8 !!!!!!!!!
That feels sooooooooo good to be writing the 1
Have a lovely day- I'm off to a leaving party for my very skinny boss tonight. I will wear my green dress, and show her that you don't have to be completely skinny to be beautiful

Some great progress going on in here - Well done ladies!

I'm down 0.4 at 250.4 .
I've graphed the last 3 months of weight loss and it seems I always hit a downward whoosh halfway through my cycle. So I guess this is why it's been going well these last few days . I'm not complaining though, just enjoying it while it lasts .

Next week will be tough with the Xmas parties and eggnogg, but...as long as I don't let myself go every single meal, I'll be okay. I'm hoping to get below 250 before Xmas and then hope to just hold on for good life until after the holidays.

cincimini Great job on the .4. I've never graphed my loss, but I can tell there is a definite trend for me. I go through phases where I lose and then others that I more or less maintain for a week or so.

Kukkie,by realizing that if you can quit smoking,you have more self control and willpower than you thought,is great knowledge! Hold on to that.

Holding at 220.2! One year ago today, i started a journey to change my life cause i was sick and tired of being Fat.I wanted to be happy and enjoy the second half of my life not being on so many pills, being able to breathe w/o an oxygen tank and walk in a store w/o looking for a seat cause i was too tired to stand.

Well,with the help of some very wonderful people that were put in my path to help me and the strength from the Lord,I never thought I'd feel and look like i do today! no more pills, oxygen tanks and as for the walking..well..I'm jogging now And the best is yet to come!!!!

Thank you regular posters for help giving me a new life(you know who you are,we've pm'd or shared comforting,supporting words.. you're like family to me )This thread,this site.. all of you have been a blessing to me.That's why i try so hard to be a blessing,help others cause it was done for me.I love you all and wish you all the best on your journeys
