Today I am thankful for:
My husband, who made breakfast this morning and already made dinner for tonight.
My parents being here for a visit.
Not being woken up by cats in the middle of the night.
Serenity.
Muesli.

- Dh is trying to quit smoking.

- DH's other laptop. I love sitting in my comfy chair using this computer.

- being grateful to pack of 6 quarts of ham and bean soup in quart bags and NOT doing one lick or taste, etc.

- my family, friends, this site, internet, cell phone

- A day off to spend with my son, who's off from school
- coffee

This is a wonderful thread. Reading your posts reminds me of things that I have taken for granted but should be grateful to have.

My list for today:

- My father is better and out of the hospital.
- My daughter that went to help my parents when I was not able to.
- The leak in my roof has been repaired and the rotted beams in the attic replaced.
- I can manage to pay for those repairs even if it does hurt.
- My grandson with autism is talking and communicating.

The Lord waking be up early and having enough sense to get up so as not to have to rush

For having the extra time before work to go to the bank and for the money to deposit in it.


for my youngest daughter finding a job at last!!!

For remembering to take my medicines.

And for just plain long being alive.

Today I am thankful for:
-having the day off
-having Advil to take for my sore throat
-the ortho specialist being able to squeeze DD in tomorrow - her knee is just not heling
-my aunt coming to scrap book this weekend
-finishing yesterday under 1400 calories even though it felt wildly out of control. Had to fast for a blood draw and when you work nights messing with your eating schedule can really cause problems.

- I've lost seven pounds since January 1 = I am so grateful.

- doctor ordered some pt for my sore knee

- my headcold is improving

- 2 year old GS called me yesterday to tell me he ate salsa and chips
