Sweetie, I am SO PROUD of you for getting you and the kids out. I know from personal experience how terrifying it is to escape and get into a shelter (although I didn't have kids at the time).

Everybody's right, get those advocates, and the police involved...and life will go on. Do not contemplate going back to him, no matter how hard it is! You are worth so much more, and are deserving of a true, respectful, and safe love!
