I think it's a great plan, but you don't really have to buy the book just yet, if you want to try it out. There is a lot of resources about it on realage.com. Also, check out our "stickies" at the top of the forum page - Kim posted the "99-second" edition of YOAD which you can check out.
Or, just check the book out from your local library. I will warn you though, there's a lot of in-depth reading in there - the doctors explain, in detail, the reasons why certain foods are better for you than others. A lot to take in, but very motivating!
Just like any other plan, if you stick to it, you will have great results. It does deliver the belly flattening it advertises. We've had gals here who have lost anywhere between 30 - 85# following this plan.
