Hi all!
Wow, I can't believe all the things I have been depriving myself of. I am 35 and just had my first beet today. I had to do a search on how to cook these things, I did and they were good. My mom was a great cook but only made what she liked and looking back I'm thinking she must not have been very fond of many fruits and veggies. I'm thinking of the other things in the produce isle I have never given a try and thinking this is gonna be great...my kids probably not so excited

Patti....I am now also a steel cut oat reheater eater.

I have been experimenting and my two favorite oats are pumpkin w/ pumpkin pie spice, chopped pecan, and a little splenda or a cap full of real maple syrup...and...diced apple w/ cinnamon chopped walnuts or pecans and a little splenda or maple syrup.
I have gotten some really great walks in the last couple of days but none today. When 8:30 rolls around I just don't feel like it anymore. I really need to make walking a priority in my day tomorrow, evenings just don't work for me.
I did make a big U turn already today, but I made it and that's all that matters. Usually a slip up this early in a normal weightloss plan would cause me to go off and not look back. Could this WOE be my new "normal".
I don't like sticking to a definate "plan", so I have been staying away from the two week plan in the book...is that ok?
