Hi guys, I am new and I have a question. In his book Dr. Oz mentions that you should look a pictures of yourself when you were 18 or so to be able to understand your true body shape and ultimate goal. Well back in the day, and let's just say it was in the 80s, I had a 24 inch waist. Can you ever get back to those measurements after kids and "middle-age spread" if you stick to the plan religiously?
He also says I believe it's a 32 inch waist is normal, so I wouldn't worry about being a stick figure before just that you are not carrying all that excess cortisol in the belly area.
You gals are bumming me out - I've *never* had a 24" waist!
But yes, if you have that sort of frame, then that's where you should target to be. I'm trying for 32", and then I'll see where to go from there.
Cindy
Thanks for the responses you guys. I've been a chronic yo-yo dieter for all of my life and the recently got back down through the Best Life plan but Dr. Oz's book helped to explain to me my chronic sugar addiction and those cravings that always send me sliding back up the scale. I am trying to use his methods to help me change my eating habits for life. I just wondered if I would still see some physical changes even though I am around 5 lbs from goal weight.
