If I have to, I'll talk to myself in this thread!

Today I did well...did a bit of strength training and took a 70-minute walk. I may have to use some Flex points, because I only have 2 left and I may need a snack later. I've been hungry all day for some reason.

OH my can't have someone talking to themselves.

I have done well. I have a Thanksgiving goal of lossing 8 pounds by turkey day. I am right on target with 2 pounds lost the first week.

It was a stressful weekend but I did well. I am hoping to loss 3 pounds this week to make my first 10% goal. I am doing the program on my own...well not really I love my message boards and the support I get from them. I have found the 10% keychain for sale on Ebay. I did a Buy it Now. Hopefully by the time I get to goal it will be here.

Wishing everyone well. Time to get on the treadmill

I have had a bad case of munchies today. Managed to keep within the points for the day. Not sure how that happened. I guess it is because every time I ate something I made a point of journaling it.

Hi CareBear, I didn't even give you a welcome. I saw your little chick avatar and assumed you were LisaMarie. WELCOME> WELCOME!!

Journaling will always do it; because it haunts you to see that you've blasted your points out of the water!

Welcome, AJsmommy, Chris, and 707, and hello Miss Cretia!!

Chris, it makes such a difference when we journal everything we eat even when we get the munchies. It's so easy to get out of control if we're not accountable, but journaling always keeps us accountable.

Cretia, if that cheesecake was worth it, you should feel good about it! We have to treat ourselves and live like normal people, who eat dessert occasionally!!! You're doing so great!

Today I worked out HARD at the gym...I kept pumping up the resistance and the incline on the elliptical and doing big hill intervals on the treadmill. I'm way under points, but I may have a little snack in a few minutes. It was a hectic, kind of crappy day, but the workout actually made me feel much better. I'm kind of worried about my weigh-in tomorrow morning because usually the scale fluctuates all week, but this week I've been up 2 pounds from the last weigh-in every morning. I'm not sure why, but my body's probably catching up with those big losses I had the last 2 weeks. We'll see.

Thanks for the welcome, Lisa and Miss Cretia.

That is one thing I am proud of....I journal everything. Usually before I even eat it.

Here is my story. I am disabled..fibromyalgia, arthritis, degenerative disc disease, depression and the list goes on and on. My weight has been up and down for years. In September, I reached an all time high...294. The thought of hitting 300 was very much in mind. I decided not to diet but for a complete lifestyle change. In the past 6 years I have gained 100 pounds. I know I will be counting points the rest of my life...and I can deal with that.

When I am feeling well, I spend a lot of time sitting in front of my computer. I have a spreadsheet that I found in one of the Yahoo Groups that I use to journal points. I have modified it to include exericse. My goal right now is walking on the treadmill 25 minutes a day. Managed to get 15 in today and not sure I will get the other 10 in.

Wishing every one a great evening

Still room for more?

It's really hard to stay on track when you have No diet buddies to report to. I have a hard time keeping my points written down. I try and do a mental point tracker but then it's way to easy to say I will do better tomorrow. Hardest for me is dinner time. I do good all day then blow the entire day with dinner. Everyone else eats the most in the evening as well so I guess that is where that habit came from. Another day to start all over

Of course there is room for another. Sorry to hear it is hard for you to stay on track.

You said you have a hard time writing your points down. Are you a big computer user? I have a spread sheet that was made by someone in one of my Yahoo groups. It is open from the time I get up till the time I go to bed. As soon as I eat something I have journaled it. Most of the time it is journal before I eat it. I plan out my meals at the beginning of the day so I know how much I can snack. I rarely go over points by doing this.

Today's goal for me is to walk on the treadmill for 25 minutes. I only did 15 yesterday.

Hey everyone! Yay! I love our thread!

The spreadsheet is a good idea. I keep a little notebook with me at all times and jot down what I eat and how many points I've had. Everything else, I keep on a spreadsheet! I have my goal on there, and a weight-loss graph, and how much I exercise, etc.

Today I didn't exercise because I was at school until 8:30pm for a function (loooooong day). This will have to be my rest day for the week. I had all but 2 of my points.

I weighed in this morning and I was down one pound -- I figure my body is making up for the big losses I had the last two weeks! I'm ok with it!

Congrats on the loss. Sorry you had a long day. I have been getting up earlier and earlier every day. But am shortening the day by going to bed earlier. Guess it is all working out
