Congrats to last week's losers and maintainers. Fantastic job, everyone. And welcome to the newcomers.

I've had a so-so week. My stomach upset of a week ago Sunday was actually, I believe, a gall bladder attack. My doc had just called a couple of days beforehand with the results of a CAT scan I had and, among other things, I have a gall stone. So I've alternated between being afraid of eating and feeling sorry for myself and stuffing chocolate in my mouth. I didn't weigh in last week because I knew my system was all messed up. But I will weigh this week and move on.

Edited to add a note to Judy and anyone else hit by the blizzard: I hope you're ok. I just heard how much snow fell in Central Park - incredible!

Have a great day.

Carla

Carla - sorry to hear about the gall stone and your turning to comfort food. We've all been there - I know my choice of ribs this Saturday was not because I didn't have any better choices in the house, but because Tony was away in Denver and there was a blizzard coming! I counted the points and moved on - just as you are now. Tony's flight Sunday night (the red eye) was cancelled. He's on his way home now (took the red eye early this morning). It was quite a storm although it turns out that the city got a lot more than we did. I guess we got about 14 inches - nothing to sneeze at for sure but here on the island, at least at my house, we never had the "thunder snow". Of course, the school district I teach at didn't cancel school yesterday - we had a 2 hour delay!

I lost 0.6 last week - not as good as what some of my sneak peeks showed but I'll take it. It did get me to another total poiund lost. I didn't do much in the way of exercise this weekend - my back was really acting up. I did manage to do some back yoga after work yesterday.

Have a great one!
Judy

Hi Ladies

down another pound (of course, having an 11-mile run sure did help in my calorie burning! Just 1.5 weeks until the Half Marathon)

The scale was sooooo close to 160 but I decided to go ahead and wait a week to see if I can definitely get below that. Plus, I'm not so sure I'm done...I'm thinking of trying to lose an additional 5 pounds...we'll see...

Judy - congrats on being down another pound despite the ribs (they sounded wonderful!)

Cece - I'm sorry to hear about your gall stone. I hope things turn around for you very soon

Have a great Valentine's Day everyone. I'm going to try to not indulge too much, but we'll see what the day brings

Mind if I join you ladies. I am going to try weight watches yet again ( I have lost count how many times I have started and restarted). I get so close to hitting the 150's and them I gain weight back. Yesterday was my first day back and it went pretty well. Hopefully I can keep it up.

Cece--sorry about the gallstone. i hope you start feeling better soon.

Judy--that sounds like a ton of snow. think of all the AP you'll (or maybe already did) earn shovelling yourself out of the snow.

Lucky13--WOW! you're going to run a half marathon?!? you rock. one day i hope to be able to run even 5 minutes.

Bev--Jump right in! take it one day at a time and ask your questions on here, everyone is fantastic!

i stepped on that scaled last friday and......maintained. i didn't make the wisest food choices and i was kinda lax on the exercise and i've just started DGT (dreadful girl time )

i have high hopes for this friday's weigh in. i'm going to stay on program this week!!!!

Just checking in with my weight this week - will catch up with the posts later as I need to take the boys to school.

Down another 1.2kg (2.64lbs) making a total of 5.6kg (12.32lbs). I wasn't expecting a loss as I had a VERY bad weekend, but I also have changed my diet plan for the next 11 days (starting last Monday) so that may have helped, plus I've still been doing a lot of exercise. Wonder what I can spoil myself with as a motivator since I've surpassed the 5kg mark.

Catch up with you later.

I've just finished two hours of exercise - a 75 minute walk and 45 minutes Core Secrets.

Carla ~ Sorry to hear about your gall stone. Hope it doesn't give you too much grief. Good luck for your weigh in this week.

Judy ~ WTG on your loss. We've had news reports of the blizzards - I certainly don't envy you. I LOVE ribs. I always remember a friend of my Mum's coming out from Canada 20 years ago and she made the best ribs.

Lucky ~ Congrats on the pounds and the 11.5 mile run. Awesome effort. I would struggle to walk that far, let alone run.

Bev ~ Welcome, of course you can join. Good luck with your weigh loss goal.

Carrie ~ Good luck for staying OP this week and for your weigh-in on Friday.

Maria ~ WTG on the 2 lbs and the 32lbs overall. I love hearing those big numbers - it helps keep me motivated.

Hope you're all having a great Valentines Day. DH gave me a bottle of Ralph Lauren perfume and I gave DH a voucher for a romantic night away for the two of us, which we'll probably organise for next month when we have babysitters available.

Ok - so I definitely went over my points for Valentine's Day but it was really nice. DH and I made dinner at home (he grilled steaks and I made bernaise sauce, along with garlic cheese mashed potatoes, asparagus, rolls, and chocolate dipped strawberries).

I definitely did some sampling with the chocolate while making the chocolate dipped strawberries (YUM!!)

Oh - did I mention that I drank a bottle of wine???

But everything was very good and we had a very nice night

Hope everyone had a great V-Day

Water and Ibuprofen are definitely my best friends today

we had a nice valentines day as well. we went for laotion food which seemed surprsingly healthy (the hot and sour soup was to die for! ), except for the white rice...

then once we were home we started to watch the hbo show 'deadwood'. i'm not sure if i like it. i'll have to watch a couple more episodes before i decide.

i probably went over points as well, but did exercsie for almost an hour yesterday so i'm feeling good about that.

today has been good...although yesterday didn't go so well.

we decided to get curry for supper. steve had originally thrown out pizza but i turned that down b/c i know pizza is a TON of points. so i suggest we get some curry b/c i thought it was a healthy choice. well after we've eat our wonderful chicken korma and samosas and garlic naan bread i go to do my food journal and start searching on the internet for how many points this would. turns out...a lot. like altogehter 30 points (my whole days supply). who knew curry was so many points???????

i'm weighing in tomorrow so i hope it goes well....

c*g: curry can be pretty "expensive" if you get one of the cream-based ones, like a koorma... What kind of curry was it? Ususally it's not really really terrible like a giant hamburger would be. Just drink lots of water after a meal like that to help flush it out!

I've just started visiting this board, so my results are a bit late

I weigh in Thursday, and was down 2.5lbs! Of course, I had the flu for part of last week, so a couple of days were spent drinking lots of water and eating chicken broth. It was nice to see though
