Default Weigh in at home-- February 6 to February 12

Starting the topic

had a good week - lost another pound. I was very tempted to call it two pounds but it was on the border so I decided to be conservative.

I had a good time at my friends house for superbowl but I used all my flex points for the week. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to make sure to get lots of Activity Points in this week

The funny thing is that a few months ago, a large eating fest like the one I had yesterday would have completely set me back and I would have felt completely guilty about it for weeks. But it doesn't bother me so much now. Do I wish I ate less? Of course. But the food (my friend is a caterer) was so wonderful that I didn't feel so bad (I felt like I was spending my points on something good quality so it was worth it!)

But now I'm ready to have a good clean rest of the week and see what this next weigh-in brings me! (Maybe my goal!)

Have a great week!

Em

Hi Emily,

Congrats on your loss! And on your very healthy attitude about yesterday's super bowl party. It's good not to villify food and when you can appreciate and enjoy good food without feeling guilty (and the beauty of flex points is that you don't have to feel guilty), it's a good thing.

We had a quiet superbowl - spent it at home, which is fine by me. I had some stomach upset last night that made sleeping difficult, so my schedule today is all off. I'm going to eat lightly the remainder of the day, that's for sure.

Have a good one.

Carla

I had a good week also! 2 Pounds but more over I felt better. I was working out and sticking to the plan. There's something about knowing you're going in the right direction.

Emily, Keep up the good work!

Emily – glad to hear you had a good week. I agree about it being a good thing to be able to enjoy food and not vilify it. Hey, that’s what flex points and activity points are for!

Carla – we had a quiet Super Bowl Sunday too – we were home and didn’t watch it except to check the score now and again. Sorry about your stomach and lack of sleep. Take it easy. I didn’t have a great night’s sleep Sunday night either (I think it was hormones) and boy, was I tired yesterday. I managed to get myself to bed on the early side and feel so much better today. I hope you have a good night’s sleep tonight!

Fairspirit – Great loss and glad to hear that you are feeling good about sticking to the plan.

Carrie – good for you for your loss. Hey, we all have less than stellar weekends – you counted the points and you are going on – that’s what we have to do.

I had a pretty good day. I didn’t get activity in (just did a little stretching) but I was so zonked from not sleeping well the night before and had a list of things to do when I got home. I have a chiropractor appt. this afternoon after work and will probably just stretch when I get home. My goal for today is to pick up my knitting tonight – my snacking hasn’t been bad but it could be better if my hands were occupied!

Have a great one!

Congrats to all the losers. I'm down another .6kg (1.3lbs) which was a bit of a surprise since I had two medium blowouts this week. Guess all the exercise is making a difference. Exercise goal is going well. I've done two 90 minute walks since Sunday and it's raining today so I did the Core Secrets Accelerated Workout. Amazing what a wee sweat you can get up working out on a ball.

Em ~ WTG on being kind to yourself on your indulgence at the Superbowl. Not beating yourself up about it is absolutely key - something I need to constantly remind myself of.

Carla ~ Hope you are feeling better now.

Fairspirit ~ Doesn't it feel so good when your efforts reward you with feeling better?

Carrie ~ Good luck with making up some points with workouts this week. WTG on the 2lbs.

Judy ~ How was your hip after jogging on the treadmill? Good luck with your Chiropractor Appt today.

Kristie ~ WTG on passing the halfway point.

Carrie ~ I saw someone else with an exercise goal ticker. I think they are part of an exercise challenge group. I thought it was a great idea and chose 1000 minutes like the other person. I was a bit worried I wouldn't meet it as I didn't start until 10th January but actually exceeded it so I added an extra 100 minutes for February. At the rate I'm going I may surpass that too but I've found it really helps motivate me to exercise knowing I have a goal to reach and it feels so good coming here and updating after each workout and seeing the ticker increasing. In 8 days I've exercised 440 minutes and I've missed 2 days which makes an average of 73 minutes a day, so that tells you how motivated I am, lol.

Hi Ladies

So glad to hear that we are all a bunch of "losers" this week (ha ha ha)

This week hasn't been much easier since Sunday. I had to go to a work luncheon that was catered so i'm already very high on my points for the day. But I know that as long as I continue to exercise I should be ok. All in all, I am definitely shooting for maintenance this week. We'll see what the weekend brings.

Have a great rest of the week!

hello everyone! well I've decided that i am my most worst enemy, it seems that i did not lose anything didn't gain which is good, but it seems that i do myself in. i guess i will have to start weighting in on mondays just to keep myself honest on the weekends, i like to eat more than, my thinking is that if i weigh myself on wed. i can generally fix what i did on the weekend not so. I find it harder to do. well i will try it for a few weeks and see what happens.

Lucky13~~work luncheons can be so hard (heck, any eating function outside of the home is hard). i rarely have self control at these things. kudos for you for stepping up the exercise and having realistic expectations!

Spirit~~Welcome!

RLC~~maybe changing up the routine is all you need. good luck!

i'm having a good week (since monday anyways). i've eaten my points and not stepping into the activity points (& i don't have any flex points left ).

After the disastrous weekend i'm hoping just for maintenance as well. i stepped on the scale last night (i don't know why) and it said one pound heavier than my last weigh in, but i normally weigh in first thing in the morning and this was just before bed. i'm hoping that had something to do with it.

Rlc ~ I seem to self-sabotage too - especially the closer I get to goal. The song My Own Worst Enemy springs to mind, lol. It's so frustrating. WTG on the maintaining at least.

Carrie ~ Weighing yourself at different times of the day makes a huge difference. The other morning I weighed myself when I got up (I usually weigh myself after breakfast), I weighed myself straight after breakfast and then again 15 minutes later. Guess which was the lightest? The one 15 minutes after breakfast - it was about a pound less than when I weighed myself first thing. I took that, since it was the lightest of course, lol, but also because that's usually when I do my weigh-in. Just interesting to see how much you fluctuate throughout the day (or even within an hour). WTG on going with an exercise goal. Picking a realistic goal is great because it's achievable and if you manage to exceed it it's a great bonus. Good luck with it.

I had a very bad day yesterday so I have some points to make up for. I was feeling a bit low, frustrated that I didn't get to exercise yesterday morning so ate crap all day long. I got out for a walk last night after the kids went to bed as they'd managed to really wind me up. Got another walk in this morning so am feeling much better and back on track.
