Hi everyone...
Just wondering if this is safe while I nurse my baby? I've heard that when you diet... your production slows down.
Love this website!!!! I am very interested in Losing weight for the sake of my children (and of course looking GOOD)
My baby is 14 months old. I nursed her 10 months. I found that as long as I ate healthy foods to satisfy my hunger and drank lots of fluids I lost weight while nursing and kept my milk supply up. Unless it had nutritional value I didn't eat it. I wish I had continued even after I stopped nursing. Seems like it didn't take long to put on weight when I added chips, sweets, and soda to my diet. I put on 20 pounds pretty quick, which was disheartening considered I was down 50 pounds from the pregnacy. I still have a long way to go, but I'm first working on that 20 pounds I put on after nursing. Good luck to you. Remember your first priority is to feed your little one. There will be plenty of time to focus on weight loss after your baby is weaned. Be mindful of what you eat now and you will probably naturally lose weight. Full time nursing can take 300-500 calories a day.
