Gee, I didn't expect to be the first to start the thread today. I wanted to be sure to check in today because I don't think I'll have ,uch of a chance tomorrow. I'm happy to report that I lost 0.6 pounds as of Saturday - I was hoping for a little more since my sneak peeks were a little better, but I'll take it! I did OK over the weekend. I went over points a little bit yesterday (sil's) but with my activity points, I was only over by 1. Tony and I were so thrilled that it didn't rain today (as expected) that we spent 2 hours gardening this morning. I've done some snacking this afternoon but I still have some activity points left so I should be OK. Tomorrow is going to be he** at work - meetings all afternoon. I'm planning it as my rest day and I'm going to be sure to take something with me so on the way home, I'll have a low point snack. I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Default what it's going to take for me to stick with it

Hi Judy!

Sounds like you have your week planned - no wonder you are such a "loser"!!

I weighed in this morning at 198. So I'm back down again. There are a few things that I've realized I need
to do in order to stay in some kind of control. These things might change, but here I go:

Exercise every day. It helps my attitude and my stress level.
Fruit doesn't count. I can have fruit. I won't binge on it, but I can't feel guilty about it. No way does it
fit in the same category as lasagna and chocolate.
It's ok to go over points a little bit. The important thing is that I'm realizing some kind of control
instead of just going whole-hog whenever I feel like it. Tracking helps this, but going over my points
is too much of a beating over the head. I need some kind of allowance.
I am not going to weigh myself anymore. My weight is fluctuating out of control for unknown reasons
and if I get this whole "success by numbers" mindset I will not get HEALTHY I will get UPSET.

I suppose this is my version of "baby steps". I am going to try this for a month and I'll check in on the
4th of July weight-wise. Of course I will be checking in in the meantime.

Hope you all have a strategy for the week ahead! I have some snacks all packed and ready to go for lunches.

Hope everyone had a good long weekend. I wish it were a little longer.

Judy - Congrats on the loss! Sounds like you did terrific over the weekend. Hope your afternoon isn't too stressful.

Jennfia - Sounds like you have a good strategy in place. Good for you for staying off the scale for awhile.

I'm posting a one pound gain. I'm not too worked up about it as I was retaining water like mad. Ana's party went well. I did ok the day of the party, but the leftovers got me. Good thing we didn't have too much cake left. But they're gone now so onward and downward.

Jennifa - sounds like you have a good strategy that will work for you. "Baby steps" are a good way to progress.

Carla - sorry about the gain but it sounds like it's water. I know what you mean about the leftovers - definitely something I have to work on too. I'm so glad that Ana's party went well.

I had a crazy day at work yesterday but the meetings went well - I have to remember this about this woman (user) - her emails and phone messages are abrupt but I get on OK with her. I got home on the late side and as I planned, didn't exercise. Tony and I didn't sit down to dinner until 7:30 or 7:45 and as happened before, I didn't snack as much and managed to bank 2 food points.

Judy - Glad to hear your meetings went well and that you reaped the non-snacking benefit to eating dinner late.

As usual I've had a couple day struggle to get back OP after a lost weekend. But I'm back OP today. I was actually craving being OP. It's been a crazy day, but I have my food under control and that's a relief.

Carla - that makes a crazy day for both of us. The day was so crazy yesterday that I didn't eat breakfast which I always have at my desk when I arrive! I'm glad to hear that you are back OP especially with it being so crazy. Being OP is at least something we can control - crazy days at work are another story!

Yesterday was non-stop and crazy from the time I arrived at work until I left. I was very stressed when I got home so instead of an aerobics workout I did a short yoga tape and it helped a lot. I ate to 1/2 point under my max (another dinner on the slightly late side) and earned a point from the yoga so I'm in pretty good shape. Today is TOM so I'm hoping that won't mess up my weigh in on Sat too much - the sneak peek is looking good.

Hi everyone,
I am new here, and this is my second time on WW at home. I lost 8 pounds the first time, but then.....well....you know..LOL. Anyway, I am 145 pounds and 5'4" and that may not seem to bad, but as I stated in another post, it is all in my belly, and I am completely disproportionate. I look like a potato with toothpicks for legs. I have a small frame, so 145 does not look right one me at all. The good news is I lose in my belly first, the bad news is...I can never keep it off, and I gain right back in the belly area. I have set a goal to lose 25 pounds before my 34th birthday on November 12th. This is my first day on the WW diet(again) and I have been journaling which is good for me, because normally I am shoveling it in, without giving a second thought to what I am putting in my mouth. Is there an area on the website for people to share their journals? Just wondering. Journaling is a major step for me, and I truly believe in those "baby steps" Oh well....Good luck to everyone, and many of you have inspired me already. Welcome TrayWae! You aren't the only one around here who has re-started. I hope you've given yourself a pat on the back for doing so 'cause the only way we won't succeed is if we quit. Yes, journaling is very important to me - it helps me be accountable to me.

I had an OK day yesterday until late in the evening. Tony and I had a late-ish dinner and I was doing just fine until late in the evening - I ended up with one two many snacks and so I have run myself into a 2.5 point deficit. My sneak peek this morning was downright yucky - I'm sure it's TOM but I so want a good result tomorrow. Grrrrr. OH well, strictly OP today (and tonight!).

Boy, it sure is quiet in here this week.

Judy - You know that sneak peek is just water or something, especially since you had a good sneak peak the day before. Sorry to hear that the snacking got to you - I'm sure you'll do fine today. Any plans for the weekend? We have absolutely no plans and I'm thrilled. Do you have Pat's e-mail address? We haven't heard from her in awhile...

TrayWae - Welcome! I'm with you on baby steps. If I had a dollar for every time I restarted.... I agree that journalling is important. I haven't done it this week at all and it's going to show at the scale on Monday. Usually I'm good about it, but not this week. If you were thinking about starting a journal thread, I'd be up for it. I could use some public accountability.

This week has been a triple threat: tired, stressed, and PMS. I'll be glad when it's over. Looks like I'm repeating my pattern of one good week, two bad weeks. That means I'm in for a good week next week and then I'm going to work very hard to break this nasty cycle.
