Default Weigh in at home 4/12 - 4/18

Carla - I know you won't read this until later in the week but I hope everything is going well with your sister. Sorry to hear that the PMS monster has been stomping around. I've been having terrible hormonal mood mood swings - not PMS - just perimenopause I think. It hasn't really sent me snacking but I can barely watch a stupid commercial without tears!

Librarychick - congratulations on your great loss.

I didn't make it to my meeting on Saturday - I just slept in, no excuses. I had a pretty good weekend all things considered. The best news is that I've been able to exercise and have managed to do so for the last few days in a row. Saturday was a lovely day (60's and sunny) and Tony and I managed about 25 minutes on the tennis court - not a bad start for the year. I didn't do too badly yesterday at my sils - luckily observing Passover meant I couldn't have the cake and pastries that were loaded on the table. I did use about 15 or so FP's over the weekend but I'm going to try to use no more than 2 per day for the rest of the week. I'm still off today and tomorrow although tomorrow night I have grad school. I've done well with my school project though and while I do have to start on the next one, I may just give myself a couple of days off. I plan on doing some strength and some yoga today. It's going to be a rainy few days here so unfortunately, I won't get out into the garden even though I need to prune roses!

Have a great one,
Judy

Hi all,

Carla, thinking of you this week and hope all is going well for your sister.

Judy, good for you for getting out there and playing tennis! Spring must be sprung in NY. My tulips are just about over here. Spring is just coming at our property in the interior. No leaves on the trees yet, but the snow is almost gone now. You probably needed the sleep in on Saturday.

Librarychick - nice loss!!

I've had a NOP week, and am feeling the effects of it with tight clothes, etc. I'm needing to get my head back around the program. Today is the last day of my short vacation; back to work tomorrow. Walked for an hour with the dogs this a.m., a girlfriend came along, so we had a good chat too.

Have a good week everyone.

Karen

Grrr, I had most of reply typed and just lost it.

Karen - well, the croci are up, there are buds (no leaves yet) on the trees and the daffodils are starting to open, but except for a few nice days (Sat was one of them), we've had mostly cold, wet days (like it's going to be tomorrow). You still have snow??? Sorry about the NOP weekend but that's over now, right? (see, I get in a few workouts and I turn into the drill sargeant again!) Way to go on getting in that nice long walk with the dogs.

So far so good today. I did a strength workout (I'm sure I'm going to be sore tomorrow since it's been so long) and it felt good. So far so good with snacking - I decided to chew a piece of gum instead of giving into an urge.

Have a good evening,
Judy

Good Morning!

Much better day yesterday, although I probably didn't need to reward myself for grocery shopping with cashews!

Judy - I think chewing gum in the evening is a good strategy for you. I've been chewing quite a bit lately too. There's no snow where we live - there's just a bit up at our property in the interior, or at least there was when Jen and I were there last week. It's been pretty warm, so I'm sure it's gone by now.

Waypast - good for you! That's great that you're at -10.5! (You're on last week's thread).

Back to work for me today. I have lunch packed, and am taking some extra fruit for when the munchies strike! Have a good day everyone!

Unhappy Was doing well, but now have a cold...

I've lost 7 lbs total in the two weeks I've been on WW, but I've completely blown it this week. I've been sick since last Monday, and was able to stick with the program completely last week.

This week, however, I've still got this cold and have been drinking tons of orange juice and eating whatever I feel like in an effort to shake this cold. I've been having trouble sleeping for all the congestion, and it's made me cranky and susceptible to snacking.

It's comforting to know that I can get back on track with the program as soon as I am better, but it is so annoying that I would get sick so soon - right as I am having great results... sigh...

Candyce - I'm sorry you have a rotten cold - being sick is just the worst. I know, I've had the worst year, this being my first year working in an elementary school. You've done great so far - 7 pounds gone is nothing to sneeze at (sorry for the pun!) I'm sure you haven't done as much "damage" this week as you think you have. The key is to take care of yourself and don't beat yourself up BUT don't let this slippage become the reason to keep slipping - you know, the "Oh well, I've blown it now so I may as well *really* blow it". We've all done that - and it's a tough one to crack, but you end up just feeling worse in the end. I hope you feel better soon {{{{HUGS}}}}

I wish I had chewed gum all night last night - I ended up having a terrible salty craving and managed to eat a ton of salty snacks late. I checked the calendar today and wouldn't you know it - the ridiculous hormones and the cravings are PMS. Tonight I'm determined to kick that ol' PMS monster to the curb. So far, so good.

It's back to work tomorrow - no real challenges for the rest of the week or the weekend - just a lot of school work!

Have a great one,
Judy

Good Morning!

Candyce - Hope you'll soon be feeling better. Colds can make you miserable for sure. You've done so well...this is just a tiny hiccup.

Judy - don't you hate it when the "hors" start "moning"? Hope you'll get past the cravings very soon. Hope things go well for you back at school. I had an overwhelming first day back to work...stuff piled up to the ceiling almost!

I had a near perfect day food and water-wise yesterday. Didn't get my exercise in as I didn't get home from work till late. Arrived just in time to sink onto the sofa and watch the (hockey) playoffs. Turned off the TV in a snit when the Canucks were down 3-0 and went to bed!

I have an appointment with a dental specialist this afternoon - have to get a botched root canal fixed - bleah!

Have a good day, all!!

Karen - way to go on your near perfect food and water day - especially in light of the fact that you had one of those overwhelming days at work. LOL about the hors moning!

I had a pretty good day yesterday. I managed to eat a little below minimum (it just worked out that way and did an ashtanga yoga workout (which is a more active, moving, sweat producing form). Getting up this morning was tough because I didn't get to bed as early as I would have liked. It was a good day at work though; I really love my job.

So far so good today. I did a step workout when I got home and hope to get up early enough to do a light yoga workout tomorrow morning. I have my late class tomorrow night (and a presentation) so I won't get a chance to exercise when I get home.

Have a great one!

Just a quick note. My presentation went well last night and now, except to go to class to see others' presentations, I am done with this class. Of course, I still have plenty to do for the other one, but it's still a good feeling. I don't know, maybe it was the relief, but when I got home, not only did I have my usual late-class-night second wind (so I went to bed too late) but I also had the snack attacks. PMS certainly doesn't help, but I'm at the point where I'll be really happy if I have a maintain tomorrow and really think I'll see a gain. Oh well, I have to step on the scale since I slept in last week and at least it's a new week and a new chance to try to enforce my plan of no more than 2 FP's per day.

I didn't work out yesterday but I planned on a rest day. I want to do an ashtanga yoga workout today when I get home, and then, although I need to do some reading, I *know* I'll be watching the Yankees-Red Sox game tonight. I have to cut up some peppers for snacks. The last thing I want to do is have popcorn the night before a weigh-in.

Have a great one,
Judy
