Hey girls....I hadnt gotten on here much yesterday...had to travel to a doctor 2 hrs away for myself....and then by the time I got home I was bushed....I even fell asleep during my all time favorite show for Thursday nights...arghh.....anyhow....I have to go back to the doctors on Monday...so another long boring 2hr ride each way....YUCK.....
Glad to hear your getting better in the sense that your sleeping....I have used delsym on Jesse....and your right....it helped him sleep....but his colds get so severe that he has to have prescriptions of codeine/phenergan as he has an extremely gag reflex and so when he coughs it causes him to vomit every single time.....so the codeine calms the cough....and the phenergan calms his belly....plus it helps him sleep at night time!!!
Anyhow...I did ok all week long and was down a half pound.....but I am so stressed out right now with this doctor stuff that I feel like I just could eat the entire house...which I havent YET...ha ha....so I will be in touch.....get well Angel...hugs...Lisa

Hi Mom.....{{{hugs}}} to you too mom, I hope your dr. appts are nothing serious. Tests can be very nerve wracking, so my thoughts are with you and the stress?...well, its hard not to be snacking a little more than you should be but try to make them healthy choices or at least low pointers.

Today is the first day that I feel human again since getting TOM on wednesday. So I thought....what the heck, I'd weigh myself since yesterday I was supposed to. And I lost 2 lbs!!! So I'm taking it as my weekly loss. YEAH!!!! Still have TOM and this hack,hack cough....but now I'm less likely to stray tonight with a night out with the girls. We are hoping to see the movie..."My Big Fat Greek Wedding" I've heard lots of good comments to say about the movie, and hopefully I'll make it through the no popcorn...but, who knows....maybe a small will suffice. Have a good weekend everyone.

My weekend was good. I really enjoyed going to the movies. If you haven't seen "my big fat greek wedding".....GO, AND GO QUICK!!! This movie is so great, I haven't laughed like this in a movie for a long time. Its funny how I saw so many of my friends parents in this movie.....nice to see 3 Canadian actresses in such a popular movie too!!! Today I've been fairly snack-y, but just figured out I need to drink more of my water. I've tried to keep the snacks under 2 pts.....so I should be fine.

Last night I barracaded myself upstairs in the tv room to eliminate 'snacks'. How is it that dh (and I know its not just my dh) can mow down snacks without even coming up for air? I mean honestly.....if I even sniff a whiff of a snack....I gain 2 lbs!!! NOT FAIR!!! Anyway, I came down to watch Raymond with him and then did the lunches for the boys without any damage. Today is a new day, and I'm off to get some groceries. Healthy fruit.....HERE I COME!!! Have a good day on plan!!!!

Angel....huge hugs to you girl.....I havent been posting much lately cause I havent been 100% on plan and that makes me feel guilty...but with the stress I have been dealing with....I am ok with the way I have been eating....I havent really been bad....just not eating smart things all the time....but for the most part it is just that I am not journaling....and for now....I am ok with that.....I just make sure my amounts arent overdone and I move around enough to get some sort of exercise....ha ha....plus my darn throat started bothering me last night so I am ready to just cave in and go to bed.....
Tonight is my first night of ME time...Brent is taking the boys to the library after dinner and I am going to jump into a nice hot bathtub with candles lit in the bathroom and I am going to play some relaxation music......I have this set of 4 cds that have nature sounds mixed with music...one is the carribbean rainforest...I love it....its the birds chirping and the carribbean drums......and the ocean waves too.......

I am going away back east on Saturday for 3 weeks to visit family. So I will check in when I get back.

Have been busy this week getting ready for the trip. I am flying. Also I am doing some cleaning before I leave. Will finish packing on Friday.

Good Morning. Yesterday was, let me say....."interesting". I finished the day within my pts range (27-31) but snacked and grazed all day. I can honestly say that breakfast was the only 'real meal' I ate all day. Does anyone else have days like that? Part of the problem later on in the day is leaving for soccer at 5 pm.....the kids have to eat at 4:30 and then eat again at 7:30 before bedtime. Because of this I didn't feel like a full meal so instead I ate smaller than usual portions. I'm hoping for a loss tommorow for weigh in.....I hope everyone is 'on plan'.

CJ.....Poor you!! Ouch!!! I hope your knee feels better soon. Sounds like a case of getting a good book and ice/elevation to me. Please be careful.

April99......Enjoy your holidays. My goodness, 3 wks is a long time....watch your pts while you're gone or you'll be so frustrated when you return. I can't say that I 'journal' religiously while on vacation either....but you don't want it to turn into major slide. Have a good time.

Mom......Hope you are taking care of yourself...or better yet, let B take care of you!!! How did you enjoy your bubble-bath night? I also have candles around my tub....(must be a girl thing...lol) Have you ever heard of Zamfir? It is a instrumental music group, that has such relaxing calm music. I have several tapes...one of them is with waves from the ocean too. I think you would enjoy them. I'm keeping positive thoughts about your test results. Have a good day.

My weigh in...wasn't. I set myself up for a loss (why do I do that?) and didn't get one. Well actually, I'm going to register a 1 lb gain, as I weighed myself with 1) the same weight, 2) a pound gain....and the 3rd time was a pound gain, again. So best 2 out of 3....will be a +1 lb. I was expecting a loss as it was a great week and on plan everyday. Oh well.....next week will be my time.

April99......My advice to you, would be to eat low fat and high fibre. Usually, high fibre counters to a lower pt value in foods. Choose the obvious....non-fat milk......no fried foods......salads with dressing on the side......extra servings of fruits and veggies instead of main course and no desserts or eating after 7 pm. And since its a social trip.....(most vacations are) try to limit the amount of alcohol and drink lots of water. If you are touring around, wear comfortable shoes and get your walking in. I have been doing ww's for awhile and most times for amounts....I just eye-ball it. (as I know approx. the portions for the pts) Good Luck and have a good time.

Angel....not on for long...this chest/head cold is kicking my butt....but I thought I would update you....the tests so far have come back negative...the lupus one is still not in yet....but I will let you know for sure when it comes in!!!

I arrived in Windsor Saturday evening after 10 hours since the first plane took off. Have been visiting family & family has been visiting here. Am staying at one of mt sisters' house.

Have been counting WW points...hopefully without anyone noticing it. At my different sisters where I will be staying....you make your own breakfast & lunch. That is good for me....I did bring my own high fiber bread & bagels & Kashi cereal. Plus went shopping for groceries....got some low fat popcorn & low fat peanut butter. Today my sister made split pea soup.....Habitant....the French Canadian kind...I know that is 3 points for 1 cup.

One of my sisters said...why bother with WW while I am here....but I can gain 10 lbs. in 3 weeks.....I know it's easy to do that. So I am sort of doing it the best I can....without pigging out. Have been doing WW for 6 months now....so these new eating habits are becoming ingrained.

At supper....I just don't weigh any of the food while I am here

Not much else new now.

Hi Ladies. Its been far too long for me too!! I've had a week's long break....(dare I say vacation? as I am a sahm) and have had dh home. We've been painting and re-doing the house. Needless to say, with painting 3-5 hours each day-----legal food was a small point to contend with. But....WOW!!! does the house look great!!!! We've painted the living room, foyer, stairwell, 2 hallways and our master bedroom. (walls, baseboards and all the door frames) Left to do is, the tv room, ensuite bathroom and strip wallpaper and re do the kitchen and downstairs bathroom. PHEW...... time for a break. I'm really pleased with all the work and new blinds we put up. We even took a few hours out of the day and did 3/4's of our Christmas shopping for the boys. (so happy about that!!) and we've even got all the presents hidden in the attic. But with all the weird hours we were up and doing the painting, we were also keeping weird hours for eating and eating out more than usual. I will try to "get back on the wagon"......SO SCOOCH OVER!!!! IT'S GOING TO BE A BUMPY RIDE!!! PS.....glad to be back.

Sorry CJ.....I WILL.....journal my day later on. Glad to see you're still here!!! Very sorry to leave you here alone for a few days. Glad to see your doing pretty good. Just a few more days to finish out the month.....lets make the days count!!!

Mom......Glad to hear about your test results coming back negative for the lupus. Sorry to hear though, you are battling a nother cold/congestion. Definitely no fun. Let B take the kids and you go for a nice massage or something. tc
