Default Exercise Question!

Hello Ladies,

I'm just wondering how much exercise you do each day and about how many calories you are burning?

I'm doing 30- 60 minutes of aerobics step almost each day and burning anywhere from 150- 400 calories. Does this sound about right or should I be working harder?

Thanks!!!

well, I guess it all depends what Im doing. First and foremost, the exercise machines at the gym are highly inflated to I use a heart rate monitor that I wear to guesstimate. When I do spinning class, I can burn about 500 calories in a 45 minute class. I run for 25-30 minutes everyday and usually burn about 150-190 calories depending on my pace. The stair climber is what kicks my butt, I can burn about 125 calories in 10 minutes if I really push myself. So, on average, I would say I burn about 500 calories a day, sometimes 700 on a good day. Thats committing myself to an hour to an hour and a half a day of exercise. I think your right on point, the important thing is that you see and feel a difference, as long as you take that into consideration, your good.

Thanks for the quick response!!!

I'm new to all of this. Right now i'm really enjoying the exercise i'm doing. I'm also getting better at it which makes me push myself even harder!!

Eventually, I will end up joining the gym. But, for now I feel that i'm off to a good start!

Up until last week I was doing 60min of cardio and burn between 400-500 cal each session. Which could be step or high impact, if the weather is nice I run approx 4 miles, and one day when I could not use my DVD it was pouring rain and I was out of town on business I used the hotel stairwell....20 stories up and down x 4 talk about wobbly legs when I got done LOL. I tend to work out 4-5 days a week...My best advice is do what is fun, watch out and don't get bored, mix it up a bit and you are apt to keep it up long term
