Default Newb here!

Hello! I joined the boards a few days ago on Atkins ..... but I felt so crappy & sick for the last week I decided that I couldn't live on protein + 20 carbs a day. So after surfing the web for awhile I looked into WW and ordered the at home kit. I have never tried WW before & I'm going solo. I would love any advice that anyone would like to give.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Anna

Well I do the at home and it seems to work for me. Once you understand that it is a lifestyle change and you can eat the foods you love it really is pretty easy (well at least so far for me)

I know what you mean about the carb diet, I tried it too but really craved my veggies and fruit that is why I like the ww plan so well. I do not do the online or attend meeting but found the support to be great here

so from me to you -- welcome!

Welcome anna!!!
You sound alot like me. I've done so many diets it's shameful, lol.. but atkins was one I did over and over again and the first time I made it a month and lost 20 lbs and then once you cheat it's back to ground zero because you kicked yourself out of ketosis. And I missed my bread and chocolate way too much, lol.. then after my 3rd baby I went on ww at home. Meetings aren't offered in my town so it was my only option since I wasn't online much then. And it was the most wonderful plan!! I did the flex... lost 60 lbs with ease. Lost my mind I guess because I went off the plan after hitting goal... didn't put all the weight back on but about 25 lbs in the last 4 years or so. So anyway, after again going back and forth through fad diets it was my husband that said, why don't you just go back to ww, you loved it when you were on it. And he was right. So I ordered another at home kit right then and there and I've been on it two weeks now and down 4.2 lbs already. I'm loving it so welcome and I hope you post often so we can get to know you better! we have a daily thread we post at as well so please come over there and chime right in

And we are glad you are here!

We all want the same thing and I think most of us have done so many different diets we can recite them in our sleep. This is my first time with ww and I have been doing it for 8 weeks and lost 13 pounds. Not a fast loss but better and more steady then the fad diets I have tried. I am seeing that I am looking at food in a different light. Now it is not what I cant have it is I can have that on this or that day and in this amt and if I mess up...well just adjust the points in the up coming days and move on.

I am now finding I have a hard time eating enough points and my weight stalled after only two weeks, so I am trying the wendie plan and that is really helping. But then this setback with the surgery but it has not discourged me.

anyway now that I have been long winded again...welcome look forward to your posts and updates

Good Morning..
I am pretty new to WW too. I have been on it since last Saturday although I was on it back in 2001. I was not really serious then but this time I am having a great time with it and so far did not have any issues with feeling hungry. So I hope I am on the right track now. I just wanted to give you a shout out and say WELCOME and Good Luck!!
