Default Eating too many pts, Eating too few pts

I have been looking over my food journal for the past five weeks. the past three I have gained and lost the same pound...very frustrating but another trend I noticed was that when I gained the pound the following week I tended to throw caution to the wind and decided that it was ok to have a week of wine. Please keep in mind that wine is my downfall and I am not sure I gave myself permission to do that because I was frustrated with the no weight loss thing or what (but I did keep close within my pt range). Then the following week I was not hungry and at too few points.

Is this normal?

I'm counting calories rather than using ww, but I have the same problem sometimes. Some weeks I just don't want to eat, but I make up for it! I think a good way to deal with it is to keep a brief journal. Where you keep track of your points, take notes of things that may have affected how you felt about food that day (being busy and active, being stressed, eating certain types of food or frequencies over others). Maybe you'll see a pattern you never noticed before. Good luck!

Hiya Nancylmrn,

I too noticed for about a three week period that I would stall or not lose..sometimes I was short on points, up to 10 under and I am eating 32 a day at the moment, I also don't use activity points or flex points. when I actually eat all my points or at least get to within 1 every day I have better weight loss results for the week...crazy huh?... I have to eat more to lose but I was looking and the amount of points I am eating is based on an older version of WW that might be posted around here somewhere anyhow the points I am using are more based on the older system and it is working for me where the new system with the more complex calculations had me eating 44 points and I wasnt' losing anything much doing that... just my experience for what it's worth.

- Best of luck!
Elliott

P.S. the number of points the new system is telling me looks more that the feedback from a basal metabolic rate calculator and for me that was not working.

I did get on the scale today for my official weigh in for the week and lost some pounds..so whoo hoo to me lol...finally

I guess the best plan is just to stick with it and it will happen
