Hello strangers... I ... uh... mean... ladies!
Sorry I've been so quiet lately. As you all know I live with my in-laws... so there are 7 of us in this house (myself, the hubby, my 2 kids, the in-laws and a brother-in-law). Everyone (except for myself) has had the flu for a total of the last 2 weeks! UGH!!! I could just strangle by brother-in-law. He went over to his girlfriends house KNOWING that she had the flu and then came home with it. UGH!

My father-in-law is the last one to get it. Our kids and my hubby got it, but it wasn't bad at all for them... 1 day or so of a fever, a cough here and there and just looking puney... and now, they're all better. I still think it has something to do with letting them eat dirt and stick their hands in the toilet....lol. Don't laugh too hard about it, it has happened. My mother-in-law is a GERM-O-PHOBIC! (as is my brother in law). If the kids so much as touch anything that's been on the ground, the MIL asks if we've washed their hands. My daughter stuck her hand in the toilet (it was freshly cleaned, by the way) and my MIL asked if I washed her hands and I said "no..... it's clean!" and the MIL just about went ballistic! However, my MIL and Brother-in-Law are the 2 who got the flu the WORST. I just laugh... I do believe that there is evidence to support that being exposed to germs (to a certain extent... I mean, I wouldn't let my kids eat dog poop or anything) will help build your immue system. Look at me, I was the only one who didn't get the stinkin flu AT ALL and I was the only one who grew up around all kinds of germs....... that makes me sound like I grew up in a dump... but my mother was one who never made a HUGE fuss about germs and we all have really awesome immune systems. I'm not saying we never get sick. But when we do, it rarely sticks around very long.
Okay... I'm done with that. I can't say it to my MIL's face, so I just say it to you all!
I finally broke into the 194's ! I've been stuck between 195-198 for the past MONTH, so I'm finally going back down again! My personal goal for V-Day is to be at 192. So, we shall see.
