Its going to be hard for the next months my good friend has cancer has been fighting it for 5 years she is only 35.I saw her yesterday she it in a hospice now I have a feeling that was the last time I going to see her alive I hope it was the cancer has takein everything there is nothing left.Its just to sad how do you say goodbye

I am so sorry to hear about your friend. She is way to young. You just have to remember to take care of yourself, and put you first. I don't think there is an easy way to say goodbye. Just be there for her as much as you can. I will keep you and your friend in my prayers. I will share this now....my mother also has cancer. She has been a smoker all my life. We found out 2 years ago she had lung cancer and in Feb. it spread to her brain. Right now she is traveling and doing everything she wants. We don't know how long she has, but I am sure it won't be much longer. I just hope she is around for my 40th birthday next month. The only good thing to come out of this is I also smoked for many years. I quit on April 11th of this year which would have been my Dad's 59th birthday. And this is an accomplishment I am very very proud of. Have a good night |

Hello everyone.
I am sorry to hear about all of the bad news.:( I'm praying for you all! Well, I went to the gym yesterday and did pilates for an hour, so I am happy I got myself out of the house and to the gym. I missed Pilates this morning cause I slept in too long, but I plan on going to the gym tonight for an hour to do eliptical and some weights. Anyway, I have been doing so well with my food! But I am going to lunch at Wendy's with my hubby and I have to be good and stay away from the burgers, but even the salads there are crazy full of points! So my plan is a side salad and chili. That will be about 6 Points. I feel thinner, lol. I do. I just hope the scale and clothes will show me i have been doing well. Good luck ladies!! |
Hi ladies, well I cheated last night.....I made the kids rice krispie treats and I just couldn't resist them. Then I swear the Cheez Its were calling out my name. I didn't have that many but enought that I know I cheated. I haven't stuck with my WATP because my DVD player is on the fritz. I think we are going to go for a walk tonight to get out of the house. Oh yeah, my car broke down yesterday so I think it was just the stress of the day that caused me to cheat. Hopefully the week will get better.

I'm sorry to hear about your loved ones with cancer. My husband's father passed away in March with lymphoma and one of our best friends passed away in January from "cancer of an unknown origin" I HATE CANCER!! It is such an ugly disease. And my heart goes out to those of you who have been affected by it.
I've been doing well this week with my points but haven't been making time to exercise. My parents are coming to visit on Sunday and staying for 5 days so I've been working on my house. I'm sure it is just an excuse, but I feel unmotivated in the exercise area! But I know I always feel better after I do it. Today I made bbq pork in the crock pot for dinner. The recipe was very simple: 2# lean pork tenderloin, 3/4c bbq sauce, 3/4c diet coke, 1 chopped onion....serve on a lite hamburger bun for a total of 6 points. Yummy! I love crockpot recipes!! I've been wondering something...and I'd like to hear everyone else's answer to this question: What are your top 3 favorite OP foods that you absolutely love and you're so thankful that they are pretty low in points? Mine are: 1)Hummous...1/4 c. is only 2 pts. I use it on a flatbread wrap with lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes and ff feta for a yummy greek wrap or eat it as a dip with carrots. 2) FF pringles....14 chips are only 1 point. I eat these almost daily with my lunch (sour cream and chive) I feel like I'm cheating! 3) Hershey chocolate/caramel sticks...1 pt. They satisfy my chocolate cravings!! |

Hello everyone! Yesterday was an ok day. I went over my points by 1, but I was so proud of the fact that I turned down a donut while at a friends house! She ended up eating 3, but she is 6 foot 1 inches and is a stick. I hate her LOL ;). Any way other than yesterday I had been OP! But thats ok.
MKJohn: It's ok to slip up one day, but today is a new day and youi can make yourself proud by getting back on track! I love rice crispie treats too. :D CharlaInTampa: Cleaning and working around the house is activity, so don't feel too guilty about the missed work out. Just make sure you are moving around and not hanging around on the couch! My favorite low point foods are: 1) For breakfast I like to mix a cup of Light Activia Yogurt with a handful of Fiber One Cereal. It's loaded with fiber and together it only adds up to 1 point! 2) For a quick sweet snack, I grab a Curves Granola bar. 1 Point. 3) I love sweets so for dessert I like Skinny Cow Sugar Free Ice Cream sandwiches. 2 Point! 4) I have to add another one! LOL. WW Friendly Mozzerella Sticks. I posted the recipe on the recipe post. It's only 3 Points for 4 sticks and if you choose the right pizza sauce for dipping, you won't add any points! Hey ladies, I have a problem......anyone else have a hard time getting close to not using their points? I am taking a new medication that makes me not hungry. My dinner time I still have ALL of my points to use. You would think that this would help me lose weight but it isn't. My body is going into starvation mode. If I eat I actually get sick. I am actually eating butter bread at dinner time to get fat into my diet. What should I do? Any ideas? I try to eat yogurt and bran cereal but I just get sick when I eat. Thanks for any input.

Hey ladies, I was going to start weighing in on mondays, but we were invited to a party this weekend. It's a sundea part on Sunday so I am doing it today so the ice cream won't weigh me down. LOL. So............................I lost 2 pounds!! Yay! I am pretty surprised, but I guess Pilates class is working!! I hope everyone is still doing well!
MKJohn: Do you get sick when you eat certain foods, like dairy? Or just any food? My mom is on medication that keeps her from getting hungry and she eats 5 mini meals just to have something and too keep from getting sick. Mostly light food like bread and applesauce and such. Good luck!!! |

i thought i mite give a little history of myselfthis morning but frist i must tell daph that i love your sign in name. i too am a jr fan although before senior died i thought he could never be the driver his daddy was but he as certianly stepped up to the plate and doing the best he can but enoughof that cuz i could go on forever about racer my name is faylene i just had my 50th b day and going back to ww is my present to me!i have tried them all from slimfast to nutrisystem to a new soy protien diet and im still 212 so im here now and i will do it this time but i lose very slowly and i get very discouraged i usually stay on a diet for a couple of weeks and when nothing happens i try a new one. so im gonna really try to stick to it because ww is real food and its gonna feel so good to eat real food again!!! well i cant seem to make my ticker work yet but im 212 5ft and 50yrs and my goal is 160 and maintian itand i have no ww meeting near me. my closest on is over an hour away!! well i hope all are having a good weekend faylene |

Faylene~ Welcome! Glad you could join us. I to live where there is no meeting place close by. I have been working on losing since Jan. 1 and you can see it has been very slow progress for me also. I have never used WW before but I like that it is real food and teaches you how to eat right. I just started ww yesterday. BTW I am 41 yrs old. |
Hi ladies, sounds like everyone is doing well. I am having a hard time staying OP this week. I know I probably didn't lose anything this week. Stress level has been very high. Hopefully this coming week will be better for me with staying OP. Good luck to everyone
