Default I'm New... please be nice to me :)

Hi,

I've been reading for a while but have just gotten the nerve to actually to post. I just ordered the at home delux kit and am very excited about it. I've been reading on other sites that a lot of people think that the meetings are key to losing weight which discouraged me since I don't plan on attending meetings.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Do you folks that do "at home" see results like those that go to regular meetings.

I do it at home with no meetings and I have done great. I think that it mostly depends on why you are wanting to lose the weight. I am doing it for myself. I've tried before for other people and it never worked, but now that it is something that I want I am doing very well. Best of luck to you, don't let anything discourage you from what it is that you really want in life. This forum has been my biggest support system, I don't know what I would do without the ability to come here and type instead of eat!

THANKS!!! That is very encouraging. I see I will be on here many times during the day. I still haven't gotten my kit though... hopefully it will be here before the weekend so I can read it and start fresh on Monday.

I AM PUMPED

I LOVE doing WW at home. I just re-joined last week. Lost 5lbs in my first week [woohoo!] and what I love is the convenience. I don't have time for meetings. I take care of 5 other people at home who range from ages 8-64. So doing it at home/online is my only option.

I think regardless of whether you're doing it at home or going to meetings, you have to be motivated to do it, to change how you're living now. If not, no amount of meetings in the world will work.

Good luck!

Default New here too

I usually go to the ww forum, but lately it seems that a lot of people are getting very rude. I need encouragement and need to know that I am helping others.
Years ago I was on 3fc, but let myself go. I am commited this time and look forward to meeting you all.

Hi,

I am also new to this posting thing. (I did this years ago and it really helped to have others to correspond with who had the same goals, etc.)

I am also trying to do Weight Watchers At Home. (I have done WW many times and feel like I really understand the program, now I just need to implement it.)

I need some help, though. We are currently overseas. I know my daily range, and brought my pointsfinder but.... the food here in the grocery store doesn't have the nutrition information on it. One store does sell some WW products with points on it, so I've been buying some of those.

I forgot my food companion book. Can anyone tell me how many points are in 1 cup of Special K. (I'm guessing about 3.) How about the Special K bars?

Right now, i'm just guessing for everything. I'm not sure how they do WW over here. I know they have meetings but language is definately a barrier right now.

Sorry to ramble.

thanks

i know the commercials say ppl lose 3 times more weight than "those who go it alone" but i think thats about ppl who are doing it without any support or guidance from anyone. but since we are all part of 3FC, i think we are getting a lot of the support we need right here. I'm really glad i can do WW at home because otherwise i would be throwing money down the drain with not being able to make it to meetings and such.
You all made a great decision whether youre goin to the meetings or not. GOOD LUCK and keep on truckin

You'll do fine. The main idea of the meetings is the support system, but you can get that here. I do attend the meetings. When I started I went to one meeting "to get the info" and got hooked....I LOVE them, but the support here is just as good!

When you say "at home" do you mean the online version of WW? How do I get an at home delux kit without joining online? I've been doing this at home with someone's old pointsfinder from the 123Success program. I'm sure things have changed since then.

Thanks for letting me ask the stupid question.

Why would anyone be mean! At home you can see the same results if you are motivated! I truly dont cheat. But I have been using my additional points. Kinda like what the wendie plan suggests..I do see results. I love this program

I am also new to the posting thing. I have been on WW at home since Sept '06 and have lost 49 pounds. I am also a WW Lifetimer, who reached goal 4 years ago, only to gain it back PLUS 43 more pounds. When I decided to go back on WW, I knew I could do it online without going to the meetings because I was ready. I enjoy reading posts, they really help me stay motivated! Good luck - and with the help of each other we can reach our goal!

Hey ladies! I just joined up today. I pulled out my old weight watcher books from a while back and have commited myself to doing this. Yesterday was my first day counting points, and i actually had 2 left over at the end of the day...YAY. I am sooo ready to loose this weight. A couple years ago I lost a lot of weight but gained it back when i started nursing school and reverted to my old habits I am ready to change my LIFE now...I hate to think about all the time I wasted being unhappy with how I look and feel. I also just got a new treadmill...I'm doing my best to use it everyday. I'm so excited that I found this forum, it will be great to have support from others. WE CAN DO THIS!!!!!
