WonTon wraps???

  • So i bought some wonton wraps - and i'm here at work looking at recipezaar.com trying to think of some good recipes for them...

i was wondering if anyone has tried to make a "jalepeno bite" out of wonton wraps? maybe using Fat Free cream cheese? and BAKE them of course instead of fried...

    i dunno - i can't find a recipe for one - I'm sure it's not that hard to make

    anyone have any ideas?

I've never really used won ton wraps - but they're pretty low in calories / points - and they look (from the recipes i HAVE found) - they look fairly versitile.

anyone have any good FAST and EASY recipes?
  • There's this one from Dottie's...

I'll see if I can find more. Unfortunately, the only cooking appliance I have is a microwave (college dorm), so I haven't tried this to see how it works. Let me know if they're any good!
  • With wonton wraps, why not try
pseudo-perogies - stuff with a potato/cottage cheese mix (boil potatoes, drain, and whip with dry cottage cheese, salt and pepper for the filling), and steam (not bake or fry) for 5-7 minutes.
pseudo-samosa - stuff with ground beef pureed in your food processor with minced onion and curry powder, again steamed (not fried or baked). Steam for 8 - 9 minutes
asian dumplings - puree ground chicken or turkey with a little soya sauce, green onions, salt, pepper, and dark sesame oil, and steam for 7-8 minutes, and serve with soya sauce.
pseudo pizza-poppers - drain diced tomatoes, and mix with lean pepporoni (finely diced), shredded mozza, oregano and basil (you will want a thick mix). I'm not sure how baking would work (you could try it), or again steam for 4-5 minutes.
Let me know how it works out!
